Handicap for new players.

Although a good idea, I feel like players would find a way to abuse this somehow.

 

Although this would help somewhat, I do think making new player friendly kits or mechanics would be more beneficial. This would really only save a new player from a hit or two from a sword.

In terms of it being exploited, sure you can get it from free alternate accounts, but I doubt many people will, as there is little point behind it. They get Resistance 1 for five game then they have to switch again. Possibly some might, but I doubt that it would be a huge issue.

While some people do have many alts, the large amount of people like me don't. I am not sure many people would want to pay for a whole new account just to get this boost.

There are hundreds of free alts online and if you know where to find them you could abuse this. They're ridiculously easy to get

 

I see your point, this could be easily abused by certain users.

Perhaps giving the resistance to new IPs and a new username? The IP and the username need to be new otherwise it is business as usual.

Do you think that many people would use this though? Aside from winning, you would have to switch alternate accounts every five games and no-one would know you had won. I think that once statistics are re-introduced, then this will become less of an issue.

 

You're right, there really is no incentive to keep switching accounts

 

To be honest though, I don't think this would help a new player too much. I would suggest giving a new player some sort of super weapon, though that would likely be abused by people who are alting. I think a better advantage would be to give new players (for their first 5 games or so), either an increase in health or a strong resistance towards attacks.

 

Or we could conclude this thread by not giving new players anything. Let them learn the hard way, just like all of us here did
