How do you wash your hands?

  1. ..wash my hands with water once before applying liquid soap.

  2. ..put liquid soap on them right away.

    As the title says, I'd like to know how you wash your hands.
    Do you wash your hands with water, then apply (liquid) soap and wash 'em again or do you put soap on them right away?

    You put liquid soap on them right away so you don't waste 4.3 seconds of your life. That adds up when you wash your hands thousands of times over the course of your life.

    There are 86400 seconds in a day. 4.3 seconds is ~1/20093 of that. If you did this 20093 times, then you have 1 extra day. If you wash your hands twice a day, it'd take you 27.524 years to take 1 full day. It's worth it if you ask me.

    But all the options require turning the tap on or wasting soap. I live sustainably - I dont waste water and a dont waste soap

    I dont always use liquid soap

    and if I do, it depends what kind of liquid soap

    I put my hands in flowing water for 3 seconds, take them off and swipe my pants with them.

    OMG THAT IS ACTUALLY EXACTLY EXACTLY WHAT I DO. 3 seconds, everytime, and then pants over towers. srsly.
