    Pros:
    • MCPVP gamemodes survived the end of MCPVP
    • New players to these gamemodes
    Cons:
    • Changes I dislike – the big banner vs wool dicussion – but really not that much of an issue
    • Very strict and sometimes very narrow-minded moderation and policy, especially in the forums
    • Moderators behaving like watchdogs rather than community members
    • No separation of ingame, forum, and TS moderation
    • Discourse was the better forum software imo
I know this sounds really negative, but I really am just glad CTF survived the end of MCPVP. That's by far most important of all pros and cons listed above.

I think clans was one that really stood out to me because It kinda represented us and since that has broken down, not many people know who we are and we only now exist on the forums. Its a lame point but It was a big thing in CTF.

But without the merge, I don't think I would be where I am today. Actually for the first time I was actually introduced to teams on CTF and now i'm more part of the community than I ever was on mcpvp.

It took mcpvp about 3 years or so to have their first legitimate tournament, and not everyone could go.

Overall, I'm hapy that ctf came over and that matches are up and running well. As someone heavily involved with hg teams I'm a bit sad that they no longer exist. I'd love to see a quarter quell and some ctf class changes in the near future ^^.

I preferred McPvP. Brawl's seemed a lot slower at bringing out new updates for gamemodes and the McPvP staff seemed a lot more friendly. Back on McPvP, there was not 1 staff member who was bias to me and disliked me (until someone got a bit salty and still refuses to drop it). Now, higher ups are being very bias to me, such as giving me a warning point for saying something on a thread, then not giving a warning point to someone who said the exact same thing on the exact same thread.

Also, if I reported an admin for telling me to "**** off" and calling me "retarded", the head admin wouldn't tell me to quit being toxic and leave Brawl, even if they hated me.

All I did was state an opinion. Calm your arse.

It isn't complaining, its just stating an opinion, which should be pretty obvious considering this whole thread is Doges asking people for their opinion.

Actually, I really don't know about that. I think MCPVP could've struggled on to 2016, and depending on the outcome of siege and laser tag, I think MCPVP had a strong chance of surviving.

One of the main things that the merge provided for MCPVP members, was that if they bought lifetime ranks, they would be honored by Brawl, and had MCPVP shut down, they wouldn't have gotten that. But besides that, I do miss a lot of things about MCPVP. I am glad that I don't have to deal with the endless **** storm that seemed to fall upon MCPVP in it's last months, that seemed endless.

Its a shame that this happened. McPvP was only getting better and better until Budokkan came. =c

I think one of the things I enjoyed a lot was the XP on McPvP. It kept you excited about playing the game, knowing that there was some sort of passive long time goal you were building up to.

It seemed like a not so long ago I would be saying goodbye to a server that I loved.
But, it stinks how we lost some of the amazing games that they had :frowning:
