Quarter Quell

I am not saying that it wouldn't be great to have the old veterans back, it would be fantastic!

However, the QQ has always been an event that has been revered due to its high skill requirement. Therefore, we shouldn't have another QQ, yet, as _Tom_ says. I doubt that all of the veterans will come backj but hopefully some will, the best way to attract them is to make the Hardcore Games on Brawl as good as they were on MCPvP, if not better, otherwise it might just attract people for that event only. We are going to get the 120 players per servers through attracting new players, not veterans.

But I guess we are still here

 

I suppose, one goal of an event like this would be to hopefully spark some interest back into the HG community, though I do agree with a lot of the above posts that it would be better to wait on something new or more stable to happen in HG development.

The whole problem I believe with hosting a Quarter Quell right around now is whether or not we'll have enough skilled players to play in it, which I believe is what made the first Quarter Quell so exciting in the first place.

 

I think it should be brought back but not until the lag is fixed, 50-60 player games today were nearly unplayable so i don't want to know how 120+ player games are going to be

Exactly. So we should have Christmas Tournaments in the build up to Christmas, each withe its own prize. Perhaps as a late advent calendar-type thing?

The nosoup qq and the soup qq should be different days so a player can have a chance to win both

I see where you are coming from, but we have had one successful event and we need more.

Obviously not a QQ, but some sort of tournament with a lesser prize

 

I like the idea of hosting tournaments, though we wouldn't want to host too many of them and sortove burn people out on the hype. If anything I think we should plan bigger events and give more of a notice before we host them so as to build up some hype for them, and possibly interest some new/old players.

 

Perhaps we could have one in January or even new year's day (probably a bit soon)? I think that the any tournaments should preferably be held on notable days, as I think that this will draw in more players.
