    There was always an op explosion gun against zombies. In the old day the LAW (no it is just senceless) in the last time the ray gun. And if we don't speak about a specific map, it was balanced, cause of the advantages the zombies have and their 3 kills per kill.
    But now it becomes impossible to survive, if you don't play on a map like encore.
    Finally I agree: We have to buff the ray again or to nerf the zombies ( for example 2 kills per hit).

    or... you dont stand afk writing this with ray :V Mini is still op but ray now sucks thats what we can say.... and yes i agree with you that its a little bit too bad but before it was too op :L buffing zombies will make them too op agains other guns.

    The delay between shots was changed from 0.75 seconds to 1.25 seconds, not even doubled, only increased by 0.5 seconds. You can fire 48 raygun shots per minute, considering it's magazine with 8 shots and the fact that it takes 4 bullets for every shot I doubt that you would shot more anyways.
    I understand that a high firerate is beneficial in situations were a zombie is running straight towards you, but you should still be able to shot 2 - 3 times before he reaches you, with insta-kills and a explosion radius of 3 blocks you should be able to kill them.

    At the beginning everything new will feel awkward, you shouldn't only judge this based on your first impression. LAW has a explosion radius of 4, RayGun of 3 blocks, but RayGun still has a firerate of 48 RPM while LAW only has 30 RPM. The explosion damage of RayGun is also higher than the damage of LAW since the last update.

    Advantages go to humans who have
    1.) Scavenger
    2.) RayGun
    3.) LAW
    4.) Minigun
    5.) Camperspots

    If you want to discuss the balance of infect, you need to look at both sides.
    By the way, Speed is pointless for Infects because they already have a speed boost and molotovs don't work in infect.

    The guns on War are far from being balanced (they will never be totally balanced, but it can be a lot better), so we will have to continue ti "tinker" with them. If you don't believe me, look at all the server ideas proposing nerfs, buffs and/or general gun changes.
    If we would not have to make any guns weaker we would have no balance problems. Guns are unbalanced when some are to weak and some others are to strong, to balance them of course some guns will have to be nerfed.

    I don't know how enjoyable being spammed by RayGun is for the infects, but I doubt that they like it.

    Many Ray-Scrubs haven't realised this yet.
    That's why I opened the hunting-season; killing Rayers using Ray. :vamp:

    Yeah but @Lord_Roke , what was the original reason to debuff the ray? I mean, if you debuff one side, you have to make it fair by debuffing the other side. C4 and grenades are ridiculously over powered for zombies and come on! 15ks for an EMP with a zombie having to get 5 actual kills? Even worse, 4 kills for the root! I just think there will always be uneven-nesses for both sides and nothing should be tampered with unless the other side of the equation is also tempered with unless there is nothing to do.

    By this logic you are implying that 80% of the humans survive on the majority of the maps. This is not the case at all. In most maps, the zombies win. That said, I think you need to balance the maps and not the weapons.

    Most of the OOM spots have been removed. They are constantly removed.

    Zombies can still get that spider hack where they can climb bars and stuff. In masse, they can still throw nades, use C4, and wear super armor when they suicide glitch....

    All that said, I think the ray should still be rebuffed.

    If humans survived 80% on most games then I would reverse my analysis but since that doeesn't happen the majority of the time then it's not something that should me messed with.

    Not to be critical but I rarely see you or any other mods on (Except @Mrcowlick ), is it possible that because you don't play every day for hours and hours you are out of touch with the actual game?

    Anyone using a hacked client will be banned.

    Roke's job is not to moderate in-game, me handles everything forums related. He also has plenty of experience and knowledge of the Raygun as he played when it just came out and was our longest serving War mod before his promotion to Smod.

    I have only ever seen two mods on: @Mrcowlick and @18kss (not really anymore). There really needs to be more mods to prevent hacks and uncontrolled games, but that's a different topic. This still leaves room for the ray to be rebuffed and either the maps more even or the zombies buffed a little.

    Keep in mind that Mods have other things going on in their lives like exams (finals) and more, we currently have a few staff who have notified us that they cannot be as active due to school which has meant I am the most active War mod at this time. We cannot just promote new mods at will, we have to wait for the right applicants to come along, and then they have to pass the interview.

    Yeah, ik, but there are really only two mods to moderate one of the largest parts of Brawl.

    Even before you were a Mod @Mrcowlick I rarely saw mods. My point bringing that up is that if you rarely play are y0u the best source to know how to tweak the game?

    In summary, there are a few mods that are active and I think that recommendations should come from people that really play the game on a frequent basis. I would not be happy if a forums lurker who rarely played the game made changes to the game. In conculsion, I think the Ray needs a buff, I would like to see more War MODs, and I would like to see changes from people who play the game very frequently.

    Roke played for over a year with the raygun in its old state and the admins always consult active mods / players before making changes to something this big. They do know what they are doing.

    Right, but I have to be honest, I've only seen him on 2-3 in the last 12 months.

    The longest serving Mod should do more value added tasks than monitoring the forums as I see that as something the new Mods should do.

    When I think about great mods, they actually played the game and I think recommendations on improving the game should come from players that play a lot. I would like to see recommendations from @sjuka_legogubbar , @Serine1002 , @Lekosa1 . They play a lot.

    Guns that deserve to be messed with more than the Ray gun.

    1) Mac-10
    2) MP7
    3) UMP45
    4) P90
    5) PP90M1

    as a class the sub machine guns are way under powered.

    All our Smods have their own tasks, Roke does forums, Cuddled does Staff, Audi_ bans people and Jayden does in-game moderation. Seeing as @Lord_Roke's job is no longer to moderate in-game he is rarely ever to be seen. He maybe in-game but you might not see him due to his ability to /vanish

    I see roke online almost every day, maybe not on war but hes usually on McBuild nowdays, and he comes to visit war once a week or when someone report a hacker on. Theres something called timezones wich makes you see him so less i think :v bc your last reply was 4am for me but also for roke.

    So, as this consversation is going way too Off Topic guys, I will throw my opinion.
    So, there was said that there we're only a few War mods / jmods on War. There is just one solution: everyone stop rule breaking. Stop swearing or flaming against each other in chat. Tell other people that they are wrong, and show that you are a citizen mod, like I do sometimes. You may not be a mod / jmods with lifetime elite and OP commands, but you can act like a mod, even if people don't listen to you.

    To be honest, I don't really feel any change before and after buff. However, I slightly feel the rate of fire change.

    Yes you are right, I try it too, but a mod has more power to defend his point, a normal player not. Moreover we have talked about the changes they have made and there a normal member cannot do anything.

    To refer to our mod situation: Maybe the staff group could ask some people to become a JuniorMod or a helper, because they can wait a long time if they still only makes people to mods who play a lot, are active on the forums, are perfect English speakers and are active on TeamSpeak as well. For the real mod position an application is still usefull, but for some specific server staff... idk :/
