Trump inherited most of his wealth from his rich dad and
went bankrupt 3x...and I would hardly call him a statesman for our country.

Trump inherited 40 mill. from his dad, lost it all, and yet is currently worth 2 billion or more.

He may be human scum but he's a fantastic businessman.

How bad do you have to be not to succeed when you are handed 40 million dollars, previous connections from the industry, and a world of possibility?

Yeah, but he's not exactly poor now is he?

Bankruptcy is not an immediate fail as a businessman. There are many, many millionaires and billionaires who went bankrupt at least once.
It just irks me when people judge a person by their failures and not by their successes.

Still, to be sure, he's a massive asshat. He's just an asshat who's an excellent businessman.

    1. Trump will probably winn the republican primary... those who believe in Rubio, are truly kidding themselves.
1.1 Ted Cruz dosen't wan't to fight against trump. Trump would simply knockout him. But that would be amazing. Let the twitterstorm begin.
    2. Sanders voted against the war in Irak... Hillary voted for. forum policy is about judgement, not about experience

    3. This poll shows that chaploo should run for president.

    Fabulous.

Personally, I am a Republican and I strongly support Senator Sanders. He is the only candidate out there who is not either a corporate creep or a religious fanatic (i.e. Mike Huckabee). It's disappointing these days to see Republicans get such a bad rap. I often make fun of the nut jobs we have in congress. They do a disservice to the idea of the Republican Party. Republicans are supposed to be for a limited government that does not encroach on personal liberties and business more than it needs too, but the Republicans we have in power are for virtually no government and corporate domination of the political process. Then we have Donald Trump (a.k.a The Donald) who is racist, xenophobic, and so utterly stupid about almost everything that it is both sad and funny at the same time. He is the culmination of the Republicans appealing to racists, know nothings, and fanaticism for the past 30 years. Trump calls Sanders a communist, and even members of the Democratic party and the 'Democratic' media sneer at Bernie as a fringe candidate over and over again. His ideas are too extreme they say. He would never be able to get anything done, they say. Both of those statements are laughably false.

The funny thing is, and this is what I've been building up too, is that Bernie Sanders is perhaps the only candidate that really embodies core Republican values in this race. He wants to regulate Wall Street effectively but sensibly rather than let it continue to be the free for all it currently is. He wants to protect the environment from corporate leeches but not overburden the EPA with rules and regulations. Furthermore, Bernie Sanders wants to have fair taxes but not over-penalize the wealthy, for instance he wants to tax capital gains the same as work and end numerous corporate loopholes that allow the wealthiest individuals and companies to get an unfair edge over small businesses and working people. In many ways Bernie Sanders' platform calls to mind that of Teddy Roosevelt and Dwight Eisenhower, two great Republican presidents. He embodies the Republican ideals of letting business do business, but not while dealing great harm to working people in almost all of his platforms. Government is indeed inefficient and sometimes the free market can do things better, and Bernie Sanders clearly recognizes that as his platform is all about curbing capitalism but not stifling it. Sometimes the government has to step in when the free market oversteps its bounds, and in my view Sanders would offer a badly needed tonic to the corporate swill that the American people have had to endure since Reagan.

There are certainly many things I disagree with Senator Sanders on, such as capital punishment and parts of his education platform. But on many issues Sanders makes a lot of sense and that is why he has my conservative vote and why he has gotten 25% of the Republican vote in Vermont.

I urge fellow Republicans to support Sanders as well, and even if you can't get behind him on his policies vote for his integrity. It's the one thing that Hillary Clinton and virtually every other candidate in this Presidential candidate do not have.

How do you figure? He is a billionaire now, the decisions one makes along a path do not mater, it's the final outcome.
I personally do not think any of the front runners would be good to run the country. For all the Bernie people, this is what would happen if he were to get elected.
    1. Raise taxes on the wealthy and large cooperations.
    2. Give money to the unemployed
    3. The big businesses will get tired of the high tax rate, and in case you guys didn't know, history tends to repeat itself, and where did America's work go when it was cheaper? China.
    4. All the businesses give America the middle finger and go to Asian countries and then sell the goods to America which we can't buy because we are all unemployed, the only employed people will be giving out Bernie Care and digging our debt hole deeper.
In conclusion, Bernie has good ideas, but they can not be reached just because our country is dependent of capitalism. If you want to argue socialism works, it does, but only in fairly rural countries where industry and manufacturing is not prevalent. This is seen how socialist USSR was not able to compete with the capitalist USA. In short the United States will no longer be one of the greatest countries if Bernie wins, that title will go to an Asian country.

One of the main things Sanders wants to do is close tax loopholes that prevent companies operating in the US from getting tax breaks. Even if their products are not made here, they still operate here and need to be paying taxes, though many of them abuse tax loopholes. Just because they outsource labor does not mean there are no jobs here in the US, as we are primarily a service driven country anyway. Also, I would rather sacrifice some economic prosperity for the betterment of our citizens. There is no reason we need to be the best of the best, especially when that means treating our citizens so poorly.

Raising taxes is not the answer to all the problems. By lowering taxes and severely halting immigration the same can be achieved. The USA has too many people and not enough jobs. Many of the unemployed do not want to work or are incapable. A better idea I have is re-establishing the WPA. During the great depression the WPA gave jobs to people who were unemployed. In America our issue is not big businesses that earned their way to the top, but the lazy people on the bottom. If the government were to employ people to work and not sit at home, the profits made by the government through this new WPA could be used to fund homes for the mentally ill and the addicts, all of whom are normally the less fortunate. You are acting as non-donors act to people who have purchased items on Brawl. They complain and rant about how unfair life is and how the server is pay to win. But, once they get donor items they are quick to shut up and appreciate what they have received. You are being jealous of the upper class, but in reality, with hard work you too can climb up the ladder, and once you get there you will not be ranting for higher taxes, but looking for a more efficient way for government to be a part of your life.

One of Bernie's plans is to rebuild the infrastructure of the country, as this benefits everyone. More here: http://feelthebern.org/bernie-sanders-on-infrastructure/

If you would like to talk more about your "You are being jealous of the upper class" statement, please elaborate, because it just seemed like rambling to me.

Not bad, the site has good points, but Bernie didn't write that article. It is the same ideas that the other candidates have. I feel Bernie can't stand up for himself well. Also he said we would defund war in the middle east to pay for it. So by stopping the war we would lose thousands of jobs. The defense sector employs over 2 million people and many more are affected by it's activities. Stopping the war puts these people out of work who help make war materials. What are you going to tell their families? Their children have to starve so we can hire so construction workers to build a bridge and they may have to live under once their home is foreclosed on? If something is functioning it's best to leave it alone.

    I'm sorry but wtf

    That made no sense

Sander's goal is to stop the fact that people can literally bath in cash while people beg on the streets for a dime.
Think of it this way: Little Timmy is too poor to afford lunch, so everyone gives a small bit of their lunch so everyone gets a lunch.
And also, read the article I posted about Trump to see why he's an utter failure as a business man.

It is somewhat irrelevant that Bernie did not write it himself. Listen to him give speeches, and listen to him debate. Not only does he stay consistent on his positions, but he introduces and pushes for legislation that directly reflects his opinions - not just talking the talk. For example: http://www.queerty.com/32-years-bef...bernie-sanders-fought-for-gay-rights-20150719. Unlike Clinton, who only recently came out in support of marriage equality. Sanders has an internal moral compass, he does not rely on social norms.

Not all jobs are good. We should not support jobs just so that people have something to do, especially when it is not productive for the rest of society, like some of the military is. It's not sustainable and not a smart thing to do.
