Idea Macroing Idea

I think this would be a great addition to help the community. It would help staff members in catching macroers and help reduce the amount that there are on the server.

 

In my most recent montage "Roses" I do the same combo. I do not even get hit and I eat food, but I do not macro. I feel like some people do the same combo without using macros. But back to the main idea of this thread, I think this is a great idea! It would definitely help people stop calling out people in chat and it would provide a much better community!

 

With this idea, although it is a good idea there is a lot of room for error. Like Cman said above you don't have to macro to continue your combo consistently. There is no complete way to check/enforce for macro control unless you track the amount of clicks someone is doing per second, but even then it is quite hard.

just ask drenny what he used on Haze because it had a macro detection.. It worked well too

 

Lol if this was implemented I feel like a huge amount of guilty players would start getting banned, but there would also be a number of innocent players getting banned as well.

Not exactly true I feel like a lot of people do they just don't admit it. But then again how would I know.

 

It's been added for moderator's assistance to see if someone is using macros.

Here's a rough estimate of what it would look like with someone using macros and w/out someone using macros:

It's pretty redundant due to the combo delay. However, you can see the consistency in the person w/ macros hitting the same barrett spas combo within the same time period (350ms). While the non person macros was hitting it ranging from 410ms - 390ms consistently.

We'll see how it plays out.
