    I'm not very happy with the recent addition of /team as i feel its a shift in a negative direction from how the original warz was and the overall dayz feel of the game.

    I think i speak for a big portion of the active warz community when i say this update has caused a ton more problems than its solved!

    Lets begin with the fact that teams can only have a max of 3 players before friendly fire is on. This basically makes any kind of major fight a battle of team-killing because friendly fire might as well be on 100% of the time. Anytime people teleport into a fight they not only have to worry about the opposing team, but their own teammates as well because many times people fight and accept teleports at the same time.

    Also, this makes the idea of /friends entirely useless, as its only function at this point is just to see who is online (which we would have found on team speak anyway). Furthermore I've seen an immense increase in betraying just today because its extremely easy to do when everyone's compass is pointing at their friends.

    Most teams have to either decide whether to stack up members in one team and risk immediate friendly fire from all teammates, or split up in groups of 3 in an attempt to reduce potential team-kills by an additional 2 members. Also makes zombies a bigger threat because people can't shoot zombies like normal because they risk killing teammates and swords aren't much of an option.

    In addition to this, i feel that this update is overall an unfair implementation as it was taken from a very very small pool of the entire community and not really voted on by the players, and those individuals who were in favor of it were most often affiliated with small groups who simply didn't have the connections that larger ones have and instead of trying to get more team members they complain about the people who are more established with a bigger friend base.

    All this being said i don't wish to seem like a flamer so i would like to provide some potential solutions: A. allow /friends to work on compasses but continue the 3 member friendly fire groups, B. increase the max of non-friendly fire groups to 7 OR Remove friendly fire completely, C. Completely remove the update/plugin altogether, D. keep teams as a cosmetic thing for donators only (maybe even an elite-only incentive), and finally E. keep everything as it currently is.

    B. Remove friendly fire. It is a catastrophic. Just from the chat on most servers everyone hate the friendly fire. It was a good thought but it didn't turn out as good as everyone expected.

    The step into friendly fire was not good. Not very well thought-out on that part but hear me out on this.
    What if friendly fire stays in, HOWEVER, all damage dealt to teammates are reduced by 50% upon the team becoming bigger. Or friendly fire can go completely.
    I would say remove friendly fire, and make swords actually damn useful.

    This system is in beta, if we notice significant issues caused by this system then we will make changes. This system has been implemented for less than 24 hours and you're already complaining.

    Let the system sync in a little bit and we'll see what needs to be changed or not.

    Don't know if you've played recently, but you can now 2-3 hit a zombie in nether with a sword :wink: (used to be 6 so)

    Well, I mean it's still in beta and stuff. Things can be tweekable but as Mario said, let things sync in first.
    If we tell the problems in a civilized manner, then happy things will happen, maybe.

    And I recognize that, I'm just showing my personal discontent for how things currently are and how my discontent is also shared among other members of the community. However I do not feel as those I'm posting things in an "uncivilized" manner as the fact that I'm making a formal post on the forums and not belittling anyone or being rude against the people who implemented this, hence the entire reason I listed solutions.

    And I commend those who implemented it for spending time on development however long that may have been, however I felt that it either needs quite a bit of tweaking or removal altogether.

    I do agree with you completely on this thread though. I can only imagine what stress can be caused by multiple people in the community.

    Friendly fire was added within teams kinda the purpose , as the goal is to prevent large teams

    That would imply their definition of a "large team" is 4 players

    I don't really care about the team command. I can see how it was needed, but in my experience I haven't found a perfect, long-term solutions to teams.

    Firstly, please post this and similar treads in the Server Ideas section. Secondly, I agree that most of the community does not love the friendly fire aspect, we definitely witnessed that yesterday's fight when our own teammates killed us multiple times on accident. I like the idea of a limited team system (even though that is broken as well) but I believe the friendly fire should go.

    To the people wanting the plugin to allow 7 man teams, that is exactly what it is trying to prevent.

    I believe that the plugin should allow 4-5 players in a team and friendly fire shouldn't exist.
