If you feel strongly that someone should or shouldn't be a mod, just PM an admin. It's not that hard. If it's really such a huge problem to you that your friend who in all likelihood is entirely unqualified for mod, deal with it. Most mods now (IMO) aren't qualified and do you see me complaining?

If we have to have one supreme leader I vote for @D3RGPS31 :V

But seriously why would we turn the best staff system that brawl has ever had into a popularity contest? If staff was based on popularity then we would have people like Joeymast as a mod, and we all know how he turned out. Also, lots of people have not so great pasts with brawl and may have done somethings that people didn't like, but if they meet the reqs for staff then why shouldn't they get it. The system you're proposing would make sure loads of good candidates would never get it just cause of their past or bcuz they aren't popular. If I voted on popularity and who I knew I wouldn't have voted for 90% of the staff team we have currently. It's about who meets the requirements, not who has the most internet friends.

IMO, the staff choosing is on popularity with staff as well. I once applied quite a few months ago and I have barely any feedback from anyone and the one message I did get was from someone who plays during a different time I do. I support both staff and regular players being involved because that way you dont have to worry about being popular with staff and it reaches out to more people. That being said, I still don't know to this day why no one except Crestfallen told me anything about my application. I didnt even have that many votes on yes or no.

Anyway, I really am not interested in it anymore, I applied during the summer months when I had time and I currently have to deal with high school so I don't have time to constantly be on minecraft or teamspeak, (not to mention I don't think teamspeak is working for me anymore)

    TL;DR-
I believe that both ways it is a popularity contest due to my experience with applying. (I received one feedback message and 2 other votes of no without explanation, which is not helpful at all and due to how I'm not too popular with staff in general my application was barely voted on or commented about.)

Regular players are ten times more bias then any mods. You must be new, any old timer here at brawl would know that this would never happen, doesnt really have a chance of happening.

Popularity doesn't produce good staff. (Just look at the US Congress. Oshi-, NSA knocking down muh door.) You players would either group towards people that keep your friends from being banned, or group towards people that ban at the drop of a hat.
The way it atm, we have an owner that leads a business. That business' goal is to make money by providing a gaming service. Since he's the owner of this business, he wants this business to continue so he continues making money. So he decides that his business needs to be unique, so it can gather players. He hires coders that produce 'quality' assets, those coders get experience and money, and the business gets moar players. etc

Your democracy would flounder-around as soon as it saw the first bill. #BenevolentDictatorship
