    snipers are too op being able to easily insta kill at all ranges, snipers should only be useful for medium-long range not close range, snipers should have a delay between clicking to zoom in and zooming in so you can't just quickly zoom in at close range and kill someone and a higher zoom so it is harder to aim and kill someone at close range and easier to aim and kill someone at long range.

    Snipers are somewhat designed to be multi-purpose weapons like that, and you can usually dispatch a sniper easily once you know where he is.

    What could be added, however, is that when zoomed in, a sniper gets a higher level of slowness, adding to realism but also making it more difficult to turn around while zoomed in. However, there should be a 1 second delay, possibly, after clicking, that stops you from zooming in and out quickly. this would make sniping at close range a lot more challenging.

    yes because what is the point of shotguns a close range weapon when you have a sniper which is a close medium AND long range weapon.
    and when i said higher level of zoom i ment higher level of slowness xD
    also probably more like a 1.25 second delay.

    Yeah, I definitely think this would nerf the O.P.ness of snippers xD

    because atm you can shoot them before they shoot you and still die easily.
    this would make snipers more balanced by making them less useful at close range and making them more useful at long range where they should be used.
    automatic guns are supposed to be the gun for all situations.

    You need good aim for them. You can gun down snipers easily with automatics.

    Snipers are snipers, everyone uses a sniper like he wants. This thread is pointless, sniper are not that op except ISO but you don't need to complain
    Except if the sniper guy has iso
    No guns have a maximum or minimum range, use your guns as you want

    The point of shotguns is to quickly dispatch an enemy at close range while being able to easily strafe other oncoming projectiles. Much better at doing that then an assault rifle or sniper since you don't have to zoom.

    For your first point regarding insta-kill: If someone gets shot with a sniper bullet near or far you they will take serious internal / external damage most likely leading to death.
    For your second point regarding the increase of delay to zoom in / out: they tried what with Black Ops, this idea fell, crumbled, and was hated by all.
    Over all: Your proposition of limiting the damage from sniper range would not work / be realistic because bullets can kill from any location and adding a zoom delay or more zoom options in general would demean the sniper rifle that COD, Treyarch, and Infinity Ward have presented use with, which we base are game after.

    It's called quick scoping for a reason. It's not suppose to take time to shoot. That defeats the whole purpose of using a sniper rifle. The 'gives more slowness than usual' effect may not be a bad idea, but many people would rage if the aim delay was implemented.

    Well you may find out that in every COD game there is ADS. I have say'd before they need to add ads but no reply. If you don't know what ads is it's aim down sight speed.

    ADS = Aim Down Sight.
    ADSS = Would be a weird Aim Down Sight Speed thing.

    Actually, I believe all guns have a maximum range, for instance, you can't hit someone from your spawn in warsong if they're in theirs, as the bullet loses velocity and drops straight down (it can however hit and kill them if it falls on them, so I got called "hacker" a lot on server 8)
    Yeah, I guess, and I feel pretty OP when I do it with the Isolator, and even though it would cost me kills, I do think quick-scoping is far too OP.
    And when, ever, has anyone in real life actually quick-scoped? It's incredibly difficult to even aim accurately at distances over 100m

    I am pretty sure the raygun and law projectiles travel on forever. Most however do "Drop."

    Most of the gun's bullets do have a "Drop" so what you said is correct.
