Brawl Creative Ranks Application:

What is your experience with building in Minecraft? -quite a bit in redstone and patterns revolving around numbers
Why do you need the rank? -most of my builds involving patterns can have hours of build time chipped off with this rank. I also consider myself straightforward and know I could just get what I could get here on solo, but I enjoy the thought of having other people to share with easier.

Show us a picture of your current build -
not finished but I've worked on it for about 10 hours total. the reason it's just obsidian is because the 2 colours contrast each other and I'd be going way to over the top if i made a pattern for these shapes plus more then 2 colours. that's why i stick to the black and white approach, or in this case the black and bright approach.

photos of previous builds are from my world in xbox 360. if you want proof they're mine lookup on facebook rob tehhood which is the facebook account linked to my xbox and I'll reply to you. this is why they are going to be from photoviewer.

calculator. these were my two biggest redstone machines but anyway here's Negaton which was made in the same format as the build I am currently working on.

this is the bottom half of negaton. you may notice me using patterns in my build now more obviously then in this. that's because in this build i focused more on rounded edges in my patters such as the walls are round and the gyroscopic looking thing in the center is round as well as the spiral in the second picture.

here it is a lot more obvious i was going for rounded edges in my patterns and the spiral of obsidian and glowstone connecting the lower half to the upper half being sort of in my build now is borrowed but expanded instead of being constrained in between the upper and lower half of this build.

thanks for the response I know I will try to improve in those areas now underlined by your review and I appreciate my newfound capability to do so.

 

I am sorry if I am doing people wrong by applying for WE1 without advbuilder. if i am denied here i will remake an application for advbuilder. also it's very difficult for me to provide proof of my previous builds since this minecraft account was created about 2-3 weeks ago XD. this server is the only one containing builds from my new account, and i am pretty sure i either wouldn't be able to find my old accounts builds or prove they're mine easily. thanks for the reply

thank you, if I get denied here I'd be thinking of making an application for advbuilder so it's good to know i have someone who thinks i deserve the rank already

also I know that being nice here isn't going to change anyone votes, but this isn't just me being nice, this is my opinion, I also believe there's no better way to prove my character then here.

 

alright I'll make my few points before i go back to playing whatever because i feel i should. these are all just my opinion and no offense is meant by any of this.
1. buster_46- I am sorry i couldn't provide enough detail about my builds. the reasons being as i mentioned in the application that i have only builds i can credit that i am either making now or are on my xbox, making it very difficult to be. also this goes for everyone that said it. i know that trying to skip a rank was a bad idea, but i saw almost zero point to getting advanced builder rank because i wasn't going to go to a building server to be one of the select few who get to talk. nothing against talking to other people but i think i just shouldn't have to apply for a rank for it. also i am only working on the build i am making now so i dont need another plot right now. i'll apply for advanced builder when i finish stuffing this plot with as much as i can.
2. primith-i don't in my own opinion believe it's unfair to others to skip a rank. just because someone else said it's a bad idea to some someone else decided to apply for a lower rank then they wanted and got it shouldn't really blame me for anything if i decided to apply for a higher rank and got it, which i didn't. i wouldn't be the person to blame for that person not getting a higher rank basically. also as before all my previous builds are on xbox and on a lost account, so in all honesty this is the absolute best i could do without having to search every creative build server to find a build under my name and then find some way to prove that i once was robthehood which is also impossible.
3. dyvingpenguins- same as what i said for the person you quoted.
4. yoplait-i'll accept that redstone is not accepted and i should've applied for advanced builder but i really think that in a game as creative as minecraft, in a gamemode literally named creative, that i should need houses. that's just a bit weird honestly i should be able to make whatever i want to use for applications and if it's impressive or it stands out then that's bonus points but i don't see any house i'll make without a lot of thought being either of those.
5. khxotiicgaming- i dont believe that the structures i made are just structures, that's a very far call from someone who didn't hear me talk about the structures, or make the structures. the builds i make all revolve around a mathematical formula to build these patterns. if it's the fact that i only use 2 contrasting colours throughtout. then try making these string-like builds look good when you need to use more then 2 colours. the builds would just look messed up with the exception of a few. and it would barely improve on what's already there in contrast to the amount of work it would take to make this look good. basically the "it's just structure" line could be used in some way or just straight up on anything. it's a game where you can build, and every build requires structure.
6. pugginessofpugs- thanks for the compliment to my builds, i'm glad you can see the detail in them. i'm sorry though but i don't believe it's true that people work hard for advbuilder at all, on my second day there was one particular advbuilder who was spamming in chat about how he was so bored and so on. so i engaged in a conversation with him asking him what he did to apply for advbuilder. he couldn't even remember so he had to go find it before he could tell me, when i asked how he couldn't remember he just said he made up some stuff they expect you to say and said "advbuilder is a REALLY easy rank to get", this is actually what ended up inspiring me to just apply for WE1 evn though i knew the consequences. that and also my build are based on a repeatable formulae that could go on in size horizontally till the end of the minecraft world making WE1 the absolute best option for me to apply for, but he now i know that i should've just applied for advbuilder so i could improve my maturity scores with the people around and eventually apply for WE1.

overall the main thing that gets at me is the applying for higher ranks and you're screwed business. there's no rule against it, people don't work hard for adv builder(and if they should they should talk to the person who told me he just threw his stuff together and got it), the only downfall for applying for a higher rank is that it's advised against for a reason that isn't fully justified whatsoever. if it's that important to everyone that no one skip a rank so people have to take "5 minutes to make an application for adv builder"-the guy i met, then it should be a rule! because it gets you treated like you've broken one, and you shouldn't be. it does stick out to me that this has happened since (and i really don't mean to push you under a bus or anything, you've got your rank and i am sure you will keep it) someone has literally done what i have attempted to do here and succeeded, and with one of the rank that you do need to work for! and he has said to me that it's perfectly ok, but i'm sorry it clearly stood out as i was clearly in the wrong. but from your experience you got a whale of a time which involved people actually asking about your work.

overall i'm disheartened but honestly i'll recover. and i've probably given myself a minor improvement to my typing and essay strength skills. probably not in capital letters though but hey this is just a response it's not like i'm applying for a rank higher then the one above mine, oh boy i'd be crucified for that XD.
