    Day-Z where you're hunted by zombies & bandits while also trying to survive.
    There's also a lot of survival stuff to use to your advantage. Lets talk about this.

    Day-Z, without the combo bull****
    You can not fast eat food anymore
    Zombies spawn in clothes (leather) but have chance to wear. Also have chances to spawn in other armors.
    You can not team, it's a one for all unless your buddies work together.
    People who don't kill players will gain boosts to their kindness, if they receive the (Ally) prefix, they gain a 5% damage reduction from all sources.
    Bandits receive 5% damage boost.
    Some areas are infested with hoards of zombies, because of that, they'll spawn rapid in those areas but contain good loot.
    More weapons of different types.
    There's weapons like,
    Assault Rifles, they provide medium range combat, medium-high damage, great for anyone rushing in a small building.

    Pistols, last resort items, out of ammo for your other weapons? Best to use this.

    Shot-guns, very powerful low range weapons, capable of destroying someone at close range and leaving them to die by bleeding or break most of their bones.

    Snipers, (this time, no upclose range bull****) they're long range rifles, capable of complete one-shots on most types of armors. They are unbelievably strong and rare. They have a long time in-between firerate and have the longest range in the game. Un-scoping is a horrible idea as you can't hit the broad side of a barn with it.
    They also have a quite a lot of weight.

    Now, your weapons can get ruined by taking damage, however it happens in chance.
    There are certain manufactures that have better weapons suited for weapons.

    (Common) - Customer Service Manufacture | Has a 25% chance to turn into ruined by getting hurt. Yes hurt... Think of the weapon as a normal stats weapon. Does the job. But once it goes to ruined, it loses 50% of it's damage, 25% of it's RPM, the barrel becomes rather dull and loses some of it's accuracy.
    How will this work? You basically just add <item>:numbers. Ex: replace stick:1 (Common) in <player>'s inventory with stick:5 (Ruined).
    Does not apply to armor.

    (Uncommon) - Military Manufacture | Has a 1% chance to turn into ruin by getting hit. Effect does not apply to armor.

    (Rare) - Nano-Manufacture | Has a 0.01% chance to turn into ruin by getting hit. Effect does not apply to armor.

    (Event) - Naquadah Unknown Manufacture | Can not break at all, however it is quite heavy. This can apply to armors as well. Can not be legitimately obtained from any sources expect events.

    Pretty much. Expect adding in more things to survive with and a better code to run so the game goes out more smoothly and not like old WarZ.

    So how will this play out? How long of a delay will there be? Will there be types of food (pasta, beans) and will eating one be faster/slower than the other?
    I'd say 50% chance for the zombie to spawn without armor
    30% to spawn with leather
    15% iron
    5% diamond
    the better their armor, the slower they are, but not by too much. I do have two questions. Will they spawn in a full set? or will it be a partial set, with a SEPARATE chance to spawn with 1/4, 2/4, etc... and, could they spawn with mixed pieces?
    Does this mean they will take 5% less damage? (call me stupid). They should also have some other bonuses, like a less chance to break a weapon, or a higher durability for armor.
    Wouldn't this deem the ally bonus useless if you are a bandit looking for PvP? Of course, since the ally bonus applies to all sources, including the "main" source of damage: the zombie, it does justify the tag ally. But players naturally want to PvP, and they will take advantage of the one flaw that affects the PvP aspect.
    So like, zones?

    Here's my look on this. 25% seems a bit excessive. Reducing this to 10% would be more realistic. Think of a noob learning the game, who will be excited to find a weapon, and isn't quite used to the heaviness of zombies, and gets overrun. It may be a bit much.
    I also think the RPM should remain the same, however your other factors work quite well.
    How can you find each of these items?
    Will fall damage apply?
    How rare are each class?

    I love the idea of a more survival-based WarZ. However, WarZ (correct me if I'm wrong) was created side-to-side with war at the intention of being PvE based, but it turned PvP. And with the recent update and buffs of zombies, those whom are used to the PvP are quite frustrated. I think if WarZ 2.0 will become a thing in 2018, some of these ideas will be taken, if the intention is to make it more survival-based.

    If people want to play a "zombie" server then go on single player or play WarZ 2.0. But I don't think anything about zombies should be added or changed in WarZ other than debuff's because people play and pay for the pvp and competitiveness, not to kill a bunch of zombies like in single player.

    I would like this idea if the new server's zombies were challenging.

    How does staff plan to make a zombie survival server non-repetitive, not implement, and not boring?
    Also a lot of good servers have game modes that let players become richer than others. How would a zombie server do that?

    Hmm, very good points, I'll list the things.

    A 1.5 second delay in-between eating foods (foods will not give as much health), I probably should've mentioned that health bags can be given towards yourself to heal.

    Zombies can spawn sometimes in leather and other armors, the chances go down lesser and lesser as they climb through to diamond. There would be a unbelievably low chance of a zombie having more than one piece of diamond armor.

    Players with the ally would gain a better bonus I suppose of 5% not being able to break their weapon (however this does reduce the % of breaking on higher things to a very very low amount).

    Hm, good point. Still thinking on what do to with the Bandit class thingy

    About the zones, exactly right. Expect with a different zone class that presumes in some form of zombie.

    10% for the chance of the weapon to break seems good.
    Damage fall? Okay, so if you minus 50% of the damage of a weapon (100 base sniper damage), it'll turn to 50 (100 for crit).
    Fall damage would not affect the weapon at all, if it does, then it would be a bug.
    To find the guns, they'll appear in almost all times. Think of a Barrett 50. cal, it can commonly appear in zone 5-6 with the prefixes, there is a chance for it to spawn as a Common, Uncommon, and Rare.
    Naqaudah is unobtainable but is great (if they ever do events..)

    I'm still trying to think about a lot of stuff on this, it'll still be PvP & Zombies, just with more survival with most guns actually being viable. And snipers actually being snipers where you can sit and snipe people without having that RNG no-scope shot kill you.

    You forgot the part where the Overlord lands and rescues the Piky Hunter in Santa Cruz from the zombie apocalypse...

    Great ideas for the game!

    I think this is a pretty badass idea, you should develop it more! Possibly create a Google Docs GDD (Game Design Document) that allows others to comment on features they'd like :smile: @Piky

    I get where you are coming from, but I'd rather take a completely new concept (e.g. Dying Light, Co-op or non-pop) instead. What you said is basically what WarZ 2.0 is going to be (I highly doubt this due to monetization).

    My key issue with this is that it's going to be nothing new. An open-world server with "Z" in it's title and pretty much the same mechanics.
    I was working on a server idea myself, but I find no reason to post whatsoever.

    This actually was supposed to be a new concept... The name is a dead giveaway to that but I don't know any other better names for a Zombie survival PVP server.
    What the thread is pointing out that I didn't seem to really explain so well is that there should be a new War-Z/Day-Z with a whole new plugin instead of the old War-Z plugin. The newer plugin can do so much more with a lot of things that we can explore with.
    The whole concept of a zombie apocalypse is everyone is almost one-for-all, loot up as you can in this dead world. With better weapons and more "slightly" realistic combat (ex. sniper not being close range).
    Yes, the same mechanics will be introduced and such (better mechanics though).
    It doesn't hurt to try it out and see what the out come of it is, now does it?

    On, in the sense of (hoping) there's a better plugin for better PvP fights. It would all really depend on how Brawl can execute this.
    It may seem that this is so focused on zombies rather then combat but it's not just zombies... More to discuss I suppose.
