This is purely a visual glitch and there's not much more to say about it. It doesn't affect any in game bullet physics but it is weird to look at I guess. Also, when that happens to me, sometimes the bullets fly from about five blocks higher then me and to the left. It's strange. There's another glitch where the bullet looks like it's been shot many times but really, it was only shot once.

 

Vanilla bullets fly in an arc so there is a visual glitch were it looks like a bullet is straying form its fly path (usually up to the left at long distances.)

I personally have never heard of this 'breaking' glitch. Does it look like it hit something in midair? Are you sure it wasn't just a player(s) out of your render distance? Maybe it was invisible blocks used to block off part of the map.

 

This happens to me too. It looks like the bullets are hitting something many times in mid-air. There is definitely no barriers or players out of the render distance or anything like that. It's just like any other visual glitch, it's a glitch.

 

Yes, my bullets seem to glitch while in midair as well. It doesn't affect gameplay much however, as long as you've memorized how quickly said bullets move through space

 

This often happens to me. Idk why, But It does. It isn't really a bother as It doesn't effect me personally.

This happens to me too. I really don't pay attention to it though since I am too busy introducing my bullets to someone's face.

 

The bullet looks like it breaks, or falls down, but it's not. It will still hit the enemy you're aiming for
