Questioning This Idea Completely

It's in beta, of course there will be glitches. Check that one off. Not many play it because it's only vip+. Check that one off. Differences: No zombies, sherriff system, mining, drug collecting, transportation by horse or foot, different guns, different ways of getting food, armor, guns, and other stuff, and diseases. Check that one off. Some say it is similar to Warz but there are still a lot of differences.

 

WarZ is based on DayZ, a modification of ArmA 2. WildWest is based on ArmA Life, a modification of ArmA.
So yes, the servers do have similarities, but the differences are still big enough to make it worth creating a new server.
WarZ is about looting chests and killing other players and zombies. WildWest is about earning money from mining, drug dealing, raiding indian camps and killing other players as well as fighting or avoiding the sheriffs.

It is in early BETA, a BETA exists to fix glitches and bugs.

We are working on a better tutorial that explains all aspects of the server when you first join. For now you can read the FAQ to find out more.

It is a VIP+ closed BETA, so of course not many players are on yet.

This "project" does not only consist of the hardware required to keep the server running, a whole year was invested to build the map and code the server. Just abandoning the project now would mean that all this work was wasted.

Almost anything can be changed if the devs want to. It is in beta for a reason. It's for people to test out the server, find the bugs and glitches, or to just have fun with an early look at it. It's not supposed to be the final draft of the server. There are many bugs and glitches only because it has never been played before besides the upper staff team (I'm assuming) and the devs. Not every bug or glitch could be found in a 14,000 x 14,000 block map with such a small player size. Even though it is like WarZ, it is very different in many ways. In WarZ, there is so much less to do. In Wild West, there are mines, drugs, sheriffs and bandits, and more. Like Roke said, both servers are based off Arma. It's going to be somewhat similar. Also, they're not going to just cancel a year or more of hard work, effort, and time. They made it from scratch, they're not just going to throw it away.

 

I think criticism should wait until it's launched for everyone.
