What do you want to happen?

Make it a 5k by 5k map (or something really small) and keep it 1.8 !!

 

Small bordered map, in the 1.7 gamemode and also allow people with 1.8 to join. It's a PvP server in the worst minecraft version up to date to PvP on, really? Please go back to 1.7, but make it so that people running 1.8 can still join the server they just get no bunnies, underwater temples etc.

 

The problem with 1.7 is that it is pretty laggy and there are lots of X-ray, duplication, and other glitches that people are going to abuse.

 

Either keep it 1.8 or go back to 1.7

 

1.7 wasn't laggy and we had no dupe glitches at all.

 

Downgrade to 1.7 and optimize spvp. Not my job tho

 

1.7 is more laggy for the player himself so if you don't have a good computer it becomes hard to play with lots of other people. Also, I can think of lots of duplication glitches and X-ray glitches that can't really be fixed and are quite game breaking. I suppose not a lot of people know about them but they are still there just the same.
Also, is there any specific reason why you want to switch to 1.7 other then block-hitting?

 

You understand that our version of 1.7 PvP had no working duplication glitches or lag. It was literally perfect.

I would only support 1.9 if the cooldown gets removed, and shields baned, like Invisible Pots.

 

1.8 > 1.7
I think that because I hated the grind required to enchant in 1.7. Just thinking of it now.... UGH

 

I'd say we move the version back a few notches. Maybe 0.0.11a? That was the best version. Pvp was at it's prime.

I would like it to stay in 1.8 and not be updated because I'm not used to waiting for the sword to go all the way up to hit again.

 

Go back to 1.7 and allow players to join in 1.8. Every old player on survival PvP that I've spoken to has said that 1.7 was when survival PvP was the most fun to play, now with that being said, I'm not saying downgrade to 1.7, I'm saying that's what the PvP side of brawl wants, and since it is "Survival PvP" you should listen to your PvP community as well. Although I want to try 1.9 due to all the new mechanics that are being added, I feel that for survival pvp, it'll flourish better in 1.7.

 

That's why you get used to p1 fights. In 1.8 you can guarantee that a full d is in p4, 1.7 players can vary, you have no clue what they have.

 

1.7 is trash in my opinion. It's just too old. 1.9 can be optimized to suit most needs for everyone. 1.8 already happened, and I think it is time for a change with the new features of 1.9. Also, I wouldn't mind the next map to be a bit smaller. Maybe 14k or something.

 

As long as the map is less than 10k and runs smoothly and its not 1.9, im going to like it.
