Personally PC is cheaper, more compatible with a lot of things.
Mac's are fast, powerful computers but sometimes you can't play games non-compatible, so really it depends what is suited for you.

Mac: Drifferent Features, Drifferent Settings, Drifferent Wallpapers, Drifferent, Layout, Drifferent Default Video Editor (Like iMovie for Mac), and fast, and expensive, and modern, and many more.
PC: It's slow as heck, Drifferent wallpapers, Drifferent layout, easy to broke, not too modern, ding dong internet explorer, and hard to control, all of that.
It's my ompanion so its your choice to use pc. I just recommend to use an Mac.

Mac has better protection but fewer games, while PC's good for gaming, though it isn't as solid for working.

This is my philosophy, if a computer is so well put together that you don't need to change anything about it for years it's a pretty amazing peice of hardware. Add some of the most efficient and airtight software and Operating systems ever created and you have an amazing computer. This is a Mac.

If a computer needs physical upgrades and updates, software updates that are set up to force consumers to buy entire computers from a company that (according to their supporters) encourages their users to assemble their own hardware, have infrequent and only mildly better OS upgrades that actually does harm to the computer it was installed on, and have such poorly designed local firewall systems that they need to outsource their anti-virus systems, it is not a good computer.

    Mac wins.

The only drawback here is cost, and if you another hundred dollars or so you can ignore that. I've been on the same Mac for six or so years now and it's still better than the entire PC market on everything but graphics, and that's only because it took PC four years to catch up to my graphics capability. Macs don't need replaceable components if those components are so high quality that it takes years on years to even begin showing signs of mild deterioration

Mac's in my opinion are f*cking horrible.
It's not really their OS, it's just their design and the fact you can't really upgrade them, I mean does anyone else think Apple products look like they should be in the bathroom?
    >Buy Mac for say 1-2 grand
    >Buy decent build for ~1 grand
    >1st year, no upgrade needed
    >2nd year, yeah let's drop 200 on an upgrade
    >3rd eh, not gamin' much, not bad performance
    >4th (Oh is that Mac trying to keep up?)
    >By 5 years you will either be behind in specs, or your craptop died (never buy laptops) / drop 250 on an upgrade.

By rough countin', PC would be about 1500ish, where you have 1-2k in the toilet, and you're gonna drop another 1-2k for a new one, and let's not forget your all your iTrash.
