Sheriff pay

I agree, this would help a lot. I do find that there aren't many ways for sheriffs to get money at the moment, so this would definitely help. +1 for sure.

 

Maybe not based on bounty but based on correct arrests. Making it based off of bounty might incentify people to randomly check people who happen to have more bounty, and might make it biased for the wrong reasons. I do like the idea of it though.

Maybe it should be by how much illegal stuff they have in their inventory? Could be prices of drugs and illegal weapons since all of that disappears in the end...

 

This is a great idea. Sheriffs need to put food on the tables too. :V

I'd say yeah, since they're able to be sold at high prices.

 

I like this idea. Aside from getting the price of the drugs, seems like a little much.

 

How about a little portion of the cash value of the processed drugs? It would make sense since they're able to be sold for even higher prices.

Unprocessed drugs shouldn't be worth anything, since they're so common.

But I think that Sheriffs' should also have a sustained means of pay. Maybe ten ounces of gold every minute? Then collect it at a Sheriff station as a paycheck or something?

Here are ways to make money as Sheriff

Mining! You are supposed to be there protecting people ANYWAY, so might as well mine.

Bounties, This might be against a rule or two for them. Ask me personally if I have someone I want to be arrested.
Ill wait for them to be doing something illegal and then pay the sheriff a "Tip" to go "Investigate".

Escorting, pm a sheriff to get escorted to a mine or to a town. They should be able to tpa to you and you pay them a little cash.

You should be able to sell weapons/armor. As of right now I got 2 extra Diamond armor sets and I can't use them or sell them. I should be able to sell sets, even if damaged. Just make it worth as much as the % of health left.

Every player you arrest is another 1k + 1k per Arrest streak

Sheriff arrest a player - 1k
Sheriff arrest another player - 2k
Sheriff arrest another player - 3k
Sheriff arrest a player WRONGFULLY - back to the beginning
Sheriff arrest a player - 1k

^^^ This promotes more accurate arresting ^^^

Also make it where sheriffs have a station. They should get free storage.
