    So it's come to my attention that vast land known as WildWest never cycles into night time.
    Maybe every 2-4 hours the time of day in WildWest could switch from day-night or night-day. Of course it would still take a few minutes for the shift of the sky to take place, but WildWest needs to have a time cycle.

    I agree, of course day is nicer but we'd like to see a bit of night aswell.

    I believe the reason we didn't do that is because we didn't want mobs spawning. I could be wrong of course, but I agree with this completely. I feel a day to night cycle would add a bit of excitement for sheriff's and criminals alike.

    This would also give purpose to whiskey (Night vision)

    Mob Spawning can be disabled, but also, I agree. As well as making this more dramatic for players, it can provide a more of a cover for smugglers.
    One thing though; wouldn't it be convenient for a person who uses things such as full bright to disregard the night time?

    Yes. Hacking night vision would be a problem, but remember that you can also manually just turn up your gamma.

    Full bright isn't considered a hack anymore, simply because you can change the brightness to some huge number in the Minecraft options.txt document.

    I would say if we did night, it should be considerably short.

    I'm sure it doesn't stop mobs being force spawned by plugins

    I've tried it to no avail, if anything, it just makes my visibility in water increase.

    2-4 Hours seems like too much, considering you'd have to do at least half an hour of night, which I believe no one really likes. It's just that in the real Wild West, there's like 12-16 hours of daylight, and 8-12 hours of night, and most of us choose to sleep in those hours meaning we don't actually see most of it... my conclusion... NO IDEA.

    Or just do the default Minecraft rotation of day and night...?
