Sheriffs are not required to reply to messages or react to reports about illegal activities. We are still establishing the Sheriff team, more will be promoted in the future.

 

Of course, I didn't say anything denying that.

 

It is hard for there to be sheriffs on all the time, responding to every single report of people at rebel bases. Most sheriffs aren't purely Wild West players. As of now, about 1/3 (I would say) of the sheriffs are staff members. They are expected to do their job as a staff member, rather than as a sheriff. Events that require a staff member specifically are in a higher priority than being a sheriff on one mingame. Also, there have just very recently been lots of new sheriffs promoted which should make the average sheriff count go up very soon. In very little time, sheriffs won't be scarce anymore.

 

Where I live there are no sheriffs ever until later at night but it doesn't concern me much. Most players prefer sheriffs to be off anyways, take advantage when they are not on. Unless people who go rogue in rebel bases are unstoppable, because I'm the type of person who truces with everyone so I die a lot more (I'm never the person who takes the first shot).

Before today there were only nine (not counting the mods, because I'm not sure how many sheriffs are in the staff team). Now 8 more have been accepted, in a month or so there could be enough for each timezone, and you don't need to force sheriffs to play if they are busy.
