    This is VERY simple. Sheriffs are not allowed to handcuff' you instantly. Bet ya already scrolled down to comment didn't ya
    The Sheriff will have to spend some time slowing you down first in-order to properly handcuff you. The Sheriff's handcuff slows you for Slowness III constantly (disappears upon failure of capture) and requires 3 seconds to capture a person. If the Sheriff fails to handcuff the person, the slow disappears.
    • Things to note
      • Does not disable your weapons use
      • You are still allowed to use weapons, however you are not allowed to get on your horse
    An instant capture is kinda overpowered so I thought of a small balance.

    Poor sheriffs will get stabbed within 3 seconds with sabre.

    Sheriffs aren't as overpowered as you think. When you have a gun fight with a sheriff, he / she has to be OR really good, OR has to find a way to handcuff the 6 man army inside of the processor.
    Just run away from sheriffs and don't shoot them, they won't be able to catch you with their "overpowered" handcuffs. It would only be more difficult for the sheriffs to stop crime.

    #1 problem with something like this, sheriff gets killed trying to handcuff players. Especially if players bein handcuffed have access to their weapons.

    You're wrong, The sheriff guns are way too OP. They can take down a fulld diamond in 1 or 2 shots w/ Their sniper rifles.
    When bandits can only 4 shot a fulld if they use a T-Gewehr

    That's why rouge players shouldn't be able to be handcuffed they have to be killed.

    T-Gewehr and the Repeater have the same damage. The armour of the sheriff is the same as diamond armour. Seems fair.

    I think the cuff's should be left alone and should stay "op".

    I've got one shot twice by a sheriff when i was on 6+ hearts. ( in fulld )
    Gewehr does Exactly 3 hearts when it crits ( On a fulld )

    See, I do think that handcuffs are OP. Personally, I feel it should stay that way. There's one thing I don't understand about your idea. When you say it takes three seconds to capture, would it be three seconds after initial handcuff? Would sheriffs have to do something during those three seconds?
    Also, I really would prefer not to be moddled trying to inspect someone :v

    I probably should've mentioned that more simpler.
    Sheriffs would have to be within a small <not sure exactly what number radius> radius of that player.
    I tried thinking of an idea to help all this damn whining about Sheriff's instant-capturing someone and it gets shot-down easily (yes there are some issues with this idea but com'n, at least make some suggestions to help these issues..)

    I agree with Signatured, I think that sheriffs get killed trying to handcuff players. The players would have access to weapons and kill the sheriffs. So I think that we should keep handcuffs. May the force be with you!

    That "argument" doesn't make the handcuffs less overpowered.
    The problem is that there is no counterplay to that item.

    THANK YOU, this is exactly what I'm saying in the thread but most ignored the damn point.
    How is there any counter play when a Sheriff can instant-handcuff you that disables ALL your uses to fight back? If you got any better ideas Sigy, I'd love to hear them rather than not suggesting any ideas to support this issue...
