1. Threads like these never actually get any new info on staff requirements/improvements. Follow the guidelines given.
2.Its not about "if im ready". A ton of people could be staff but its all about being exceptional and if there is even a need for new staff.

I believe the age requirement was 14, because a few staff are 12 and 13 still. I think. Well I was staff (the fastest mod to actually mess up badly because I was still immature.)

No one can train you, you have to train yourself. All the current moderators have worked hard with tips from Cuddled to improve and succeed. If you need someone to help you out, you aren't fit. I will give my owns tips though.
Don't rely on others, you have to work for yourself no one else is interested if you get staff except yourself.
If you easily become mad, you need a lot of improving. (Found out that I was a really mad person, last year.)
Don't stop believing.
Have confidence when you apply, I had confidence in myself the first time ever still failed. I never gave up, @MrCowlick (You even resented me as before getting moderator, good times.) I worked hard for only one week and managed to get accepted. You know what I'm going to read that application again.
Besides my personal experience, read the tips I left. Actually ignore everything but the tips.

Completely agree, most every staff member knows that they have a pretty good shot at it. Plus it's more of a trial and error thing. It took me 5 tries to finally get accepted. I literally was in ts with some scroobs(@Nezzr @Compositions ) and said: "Should I apply for staff?" And they both said yes so I applied and got accepted a month later.

 

If you think you're ready then try. You don't know unless you do, correct? I believe anyone has the capabilities of being a moderator, but not everyone has the capabilities of being a good moderator, or a nice moderator, or a friendly moderator. Those people are rare. Show that you have something unique to bring to the table. No one is the same so you can't always take a look at other staff members to compare yourself to them. People try for staff for different reasons. Good luck though. (letting you know that Ill have to grade you as a staff member and not as a friend though, ok?)

Mafias, the point they're trying to make is that if you need to ask other's opinions of you for mod, you're not ready for mod.

If you want to become a mod, you should be involved enough with the community and its wants to know the general opinions of other players without directly having to ask.

Also, if you've applied and been denied already, I'd make a point of taking their advice before trying again. They, as moderators, know more about what's expected of you than the community as a whole.

So absolutely continue trying to be mod, but I'd recommend taking the time to familiarize yourself with what would be expected of you and what opinions exist by actually involving yourself in those aspects of the community.
