Make Creative More Creative...

Awh this makes me so happy that there are people who still care about Creative <3 I remember the times where Creative had 150+ and maybe even 200+ players on.. I used to be a creative regular but with the server becoming less popular, it hasn't been the same. Plus all my friends who used to play creative are now all gone which is so upsetting. I would love to help but I don't know if we can do anything to really get creative back to the way it used to be, considering the merge with build and creative will be happening... eventually. But I love the thought of this change.

I used to play creative all the time, the amount of players have decreased. I assume because of the new Build server being introduced. If we can somehow form an event that draws more attention to the server that would be great!

 

These are great ideas! I have been on creative since 2014 and there use to be a lot of players but ever since they never updated creative from 1.7 people started quitting (including me) I came back in 2015 to find creative almost dead! so I think these will be amazing ideas!

Build is nothing like Creative. They both have different features although they both are for building. I'm not going to say which is better considering that depends on the person's own opinion, but some people prefer creative than build or build than creative which is the reason why this thread was made, haha. It's understandable that the merge will eventually happen, but while creative is still up, it wouldn't hurt to give it some love. ^-^

 

What does creative do that build doesn't?

 

The ability to see other plots directly next to you. It forms a closer knit community than being in your own world all the time.

 

Build > creative

 

No privacy >_<

There's always /find and /tp in build too, as well as people advertising their builds in global. Build isn't an isolated community, and it will never be.

 

We all have our own opinions, but I think many players left creative once they heard that it was merging with Build. Since we heard of this news many people left creative and Brawl together because of the dying community. The community used to be rich in players and friendlyness. I remember when there used to be a skin comp or build competition every 30 minutes. We had so much fun with just hanging out, and that's what creative was all about. Creative wasn't always ably being able to build, but being together. I miss the old days, and I know a few others that do too.

 

Build being better than creative isn't an opinion, it litterally is, it has more options such as map variety, worldedit for everyone, more active community, server based resourcepacks. Build competitions are still a thing on build, but spamming isn't allowed (which is good). You can still get a nice community on build, I even met some good friends there for example @andmulti and @Thessalonika and such .

 

To be completely honest, I would love for Creative to come back. I use to be a creative addict... I would be on for 5-8 hours in 1 go on the weekends on creative. But then the player population totally just plummeted after creative went for down that month or so back in August or September and people didn't come back.. they thought it was done for. It hasn't been the same sense then.

 

Just because you met some people in build or it has more options doesn't mean it is necessarily better. Some people might like the compact closeness of creative over the more vast, comfortable build. This is truly only an opinion thread at this point. Saying one is better than the other is opinion as well. For instance, I enjoy creative more because I was able to simply fly around and see others' builds. However, I realize that not everyone may think the same way and that's ok. We all like different things. That's what makes us special. ^-^

 

One thing I enjoy about plots is that you're given a limited space to work with. With plots you try to squeeze as much detail as you can with the space given. With build, you're given such a large plot that you don't even know where to start or where to end.

With plots, once you're done with a project, chances are you filled most of the plot. But with Build, I've actively built on a single map for more than year and only filled about 5/8 of the map.

 

Another reason for the drop in creative population is that the servers population dropped in general there used to be 900-1300 people on a day and now its like 200-500 a day and that's really hurt Brawl. I remember when everyone was still on Creative, everyone was usually fighting against people in shout. And this is not to be rude but when people say things like they hung out or they miss their friends they really don't cause they would probably still talk to them or stay in contact somehow I only stay in contact with the people I truly care about. So, if I don't talk to you no offense but, you were never a true friend( Not aimed at anyone). And when people say things like oh it was such a close fit community it really wasn't it was broken. Not trying to be negative but I like creative with less people cause it's quieter and more closely fit this was jumpy AF but if you understand don't hate on it
