why is autosprint still blacklisted on brawl

    Let's compare 3 situations with almost identical results.

    Using "togglesprint" mod to press a button to always hold down sprint key. Sprint will not stop no matter what.

    Using a paper weight on sprint key. Sprint will stop if open inv or and GUI menu, and will autostop after 30 seconds.

    Using a hacked client and using an auto sprint function on it. Sprint will not stop no matter what


    okay so you probably said wow opening my inventory and still sprinting what a h u g e advantage!!! you know what else will do that? just bind caps lock to sprint. i mean you could say "oh no!!! it's a macro!" but how is that different than binding it to caps lock? are you going to ban everyone who binds their sprint to caps lock because it produces identical results (won't stop if you open your inv)
    now you are probably looking at that 3rd option and saying "wow hacked clients have this oh no they are going to ghost my dog!!!" there is a difference though because most of those clients will have sprint particles when you draw your bow or something similar. i'm not saying this is a 100% catch but most of the clients you will find if u search "minecraft hacks" have this in them

    it's not an advantage, it's as much of a macro as binding caps lock to it, why is it still blacklisted

    How does it give an unfair advantage? The same effect of the mod is available with a mod-less client if you do something like change your sprint to "R."

    which is considered a glitch. Its a malfunction in the settings.

    Yeah. All the devs should stop working on their projects and fix this HUGE problem instead. (Not)

    If it does not give a unfair advantage, why do you use it?

    Personally I use it on other servers because having a button pressed down for the duration of when I play is bad for my keyboard. It's a custom keyboard and wasn't built for this kind of stress. It's something already available to players with no mods, just like you can get higher fps without optifine if you turn down your settings

    I use Labymod, and it has toggle sprint. Even if I open up my inventory, I automatically start sprinting when I push W. I'm curious as to why autosprint isn't allowed, since Minecraft 1.8 essentially has a basic form of it. Just push a button, and you're sprinting.

    It's not a malfunction. It was a feature added by mojang when players complained about having to double tap w.

    One thing with auto sprint is like what you said, many clients have auto sprint. Someone might get auto sprint, and then realize they are using a hacked client.
