    Now these are 2 ideas I just thought of.

    Fishing:
    Now I think this would be quite cool. Their are bodies of water here and there on the Wild West which are useless. I think this would give them a use. Maybe in the town you can have a fisherman who will sell and buy stuff. He will sell you fishing rods for you to go on and fish. If you come back to him you can sell him fish. Now the place where you fish would be PvP enabled so you would need to watch your back when fishing. Now as this wouldn't be the most effective system of making money, it would be something just to do if you just wanna sit there and well, you know fish.

    Oil:
    Firstly you would need buckets. You will be able to buy them from the merchant in town. You can also buy boats but this would not be necessary but would make it quicker to do this. You can not be directed there but in the middle of oceans/lakes there will be a black liquid (retextured from lava). You would need to be careful as it hurts you. There will be around 5-10 sources of it which can be bucketed (if that is a word) up. Now you can go to a refiner. He will process the oil to fuel which can be then sold in towns. These would be worth a lot as finding the oil is a rare occurrence and it should take a while to refine the oil to fuel (1-3 minutes).

    I think this would also be quite cool as the water is useless at the moment. Vote which 1 you think is better or if you think they are both good.

    wow great ideas! The fishing sounds boring, but thats just my opinion since I hate fishing irl. I guess for people willing to spend time fishing it would be good. The Oil idea sounds super cool though.

    I really like the fishing idea. The oil one is a cool thought, but the amount of coding that would go into creating a new system of refining and spawning would be a little much this early in the game. The fishing idea is a good one though.

    I like both ideas, however, I agree with @_Featherpaw_ on oil, and on fishing, where are all the bodies of water. The only body of water I've seen is a small pond in the Rosebud Mine. Although I've only explored a small fraction of the map. :stuck_out_tongue:

    I like seeing knew ideas to make money other than shooting people. My vision for WildWest is that every money making technic is peaceful EVERY ONE (Even in the pvp zones). Only thing is that there are bandits.... before I get off topic, Oil is a great idea sorta, boats will be abused for fights. Oil takes to long to get.

    I honestly like the fishing one because it is a bit more safer because you are basically in the wilderness but it is not a efficient way to make money. So it evens itself out.

    The fishing idea sounds really cool and adds in a more legal way to get cash as well.

    The oil idea doesn't seem to fit all to much with me. Seems way to modern for me even though the use of oil existed back then. Although that's just me.

    During the cowboy era oil was the big thing. Since no one really knew what it was but knew it was valuable a lot of people would look for it.
