I don't think this is necessary at all. They have this "OP" stuff for a reason, they need to protect the innocent players.

 

If you have actually had any experience with this game, the majority of sheriffs tend to chase after people in processors instead of going to mines and actually protecting people. They take advantage of it because of their very strong kits that equivalent to that of diamond and they get it when they spawn in.

 

Then you obviously haven't play the server when it reset last night...

 

I feel like the players who process drugs or mine ores to get money should be getting better armor then the sheriffs that get it for free. For a price of 49k for a set of diamond equivalent to the protection of sheriff armor that they got for free... We should be getting Diamond Protection IV for that steal of a price that way making us not be one shotted by sheriffs that try to take advantage of their kit by constantly coming back to drug processors to kill people.

 

Or I simply wait for a sheriff to leave the server and then I go process my drugs.

 

To be accurate, drug prices dropped by 27%, legal gun prices were doubled and illegal gun prices tripled. The prices for armor were calculcated based on durability and armor points, but overall they increased by 200%.
However, in reaction to the community feedback the diamond armor prices were decreased by 25%, the legal guns by 10% and the illegal guns by 15%.
Thus a full set of diamond and a T-Gewehr + Model cost 72500, you need to process Wildgrass for 2.41 hours to get this much money.

Sheriffs will for sure continue to spawn with combat equipment. However, it is true that with the increase of prices for bandit equipment the standard Sheriff kit might be a bit too good. Because of this we already decided to lower the standard armor to simple iron armor without enchantment with the option to upgrade to Protection II iron armor for money.
The guns will either be nerfed or exchanged with legal guns, we are not sure about this point yet.

- they are usually outnumbered.
- they can not attack first.
- they usually need to rush in while the bandits can camp.

All the Sheriff's has to do is to hold down the right click on the handcuffs...

 

This precisely. Sure they spawn with good gear, but like that does them any good. They can't KOS, which is a huge inhibitor. Literally, if you get hit once when fired upon, you pretty much have already lost. Sheriffs don't make much money, so they can't buy a ton of medicine to regain their health, which is another huge inhibitor.

Until shot at, sheriffs are just zombies from war with better armor and no speed. The fact that all you have to do is click someone is actually a lot harder than it looks if people are camping somewhere.

 

I can't say anything here since I've never tasted the life of a bandit.

You shouldn't have to wait for a person to leave a server to excel in a game.

 

There are almost always sheriffs online.

 

The time it takes seems excessive, if that number is correct.

This change has disproportionately affected non-donors. A non-donor has slower drug harvesting, slower processing, longer/farther access to Wildgrass, and slower horses.

Over time, these advantages will build up and make playing this server without donating unattractive.
