If he did, he broke the rules of being a sheriff.

 

Happens all the time, no big deal. Probably an accident plus it's a bug or something. Sheriffs can't shoot sheriffs.

 

I don't think that's a rule in the handbook.

 

If I'm not mistaken, killing players who didnt fight back first is illegal as a sheriff, but okay.

 

Sheriffs are not regular players though.

 

Sheriffs are of an endangered purple species that demands careful conservation. My heart hurts every time I see one of these beautiful creatures gunned down and seeing their assailant repeatedly press the left shift key over their cadaver. Slurs such as "eZ", "randy", and "degenerate purple filth" are very hurtful yet are met with laughs from players in chat. Supporting such abuse is unethical. I suggest we all have a gathering around the fire at the Kootenai camp and enjoy some psychedelic mushrooms together. I extend this invitation to all sheriffs and bandits alike.

The term is "killed" and yea me and 18 use each other as test subjects in order to gain better understanding of how sheriffs sometimes damage each other.

According to Roke's Google Doc:

"If someone is running away after you caught him performing an illegal action, you are not allowed to kill him (unless he attacks you first). You should chase the player and try to handcuff him, you can also kill his horse if he is using one. If someone attacks and kills you, you may shoot on sight for 5 minutes. In general, your priority should be handcuffing rather than killing someone."

That being said, you should not be killing people unless they attack you or kill you. Even if 18 did not commit an illegal action, you should not be killing players. However, I understand you where testing something. If you have something to say to be about this, please PM me to prevent a flame war.

1. Sheriffs are not regular players. They have different abilities, privileges, and responsibilities, and are then, by definition, not regular players.

2. They were testing something.

I don't understand what you're trying to prove, but this isn't an example of abuse or anything being done wrong. Chill out.

 

It was a test, sheriffs normally literally cannot damage each other, yet occasionally we hit one another. Me and other sheriffs aware of this still don't understand why we can sometimes damage each other.

 

I am not trying to prove anything, and I am aware they where testing something, as I mentioned earlier. Also, sheriff is not a staff rank, which makes them a player.
