Make Creative More Creative...

I think its build. Because whats the point for applying for WE when you can get it for free on Build? who agrees?

 

I just want to point out that this thread isn't saying Creative is better than Build or Build is better than Creative. Some of the comments such as "Build being better than Creative isn't an opinion, it literally is" is quite offensive to us Creative regulars. As a Build Jmod who used to be a Creative regular, I love both servers equally. They both have different advantages and disadvantages that makes me love both for various different reasons. I understand it is opinion-based when saying which server is better than which, but I have to say, I dislike that logic "Build and Creative are the same but Creative is just worse than Build" because if you think about it, it makes no sense. If they were the same, you would have the same opinion for both servers. Again, I'm not against people saying Build is better than Creative or Creative is better than Build but one being better than the other should only stay as an opinion, not a fact.

I would like the discussion on this thread to stay more Creative-side related than it being a debate between which is better than which. After all, this thread is about wanting to get Creative back to the way it used to be for those who love creative. Put it the other way around, if build was dying and build lovers made a thread about wanting to save their favourite server, I doubt any of them would like creative regulars saying "Creative and Build are the same thing, so we don't need Build". Please keep it friendly!

Not really, why even apply for WE1 We2 Or WE3 if you can just get free WE on build. I feel Build should not be on Brawl.

First of all, no. Build is a server dedicated to building, and so is Creative. There is no point in having duplicate servers as it just uses up Brawl's money. Therefore, it is a matter of keeping one game mode, and of course, you'd go for the better one.

Build being a better server is literally a fact. At this point, we are not talking about the community, but the gamemode itself. I could say that Build's community isn't all that nice and sophisticated either. Build and Creative as gamemodes, however, is completely different. You see, Build has most of the features from Creative, and also better ones. There are still rp's, build comps, skin comps and other events that you apparently miss. You've got bigger worlds, free access to WE, 1.8, different kind of world customizations and so on. The only downside I can see is not being able to fly across plots to see other builds (though easily recreated through /map /find and /tp, allowing more privacy when building maps).

If build was dying, but merged with a server with better features, I'd only be crying because of the loss of my builds and progress (which isn't the case here). If you look at it, it's just a point of moving on and making better, new experiences-- the merge is going to happen anyway.

 

CREATIVE IS VERY FUN AND YOU SHOULD PLAY ON IT!!! I LOVE THE COMMUNITY AND SKIN COMPS!!!! YAY CREATIVE!!! BRING BACK 2014 CREATIVE!! WOOO! Just kidding! Creative is a great place with a better community than build. I made many friends there and started my brawl life there. I do wish creative was back to the 2014 and bellow community and popularity though...

I find this comment of yours offensive, I was there and saw how much effort and time @Scoat2 put into that. :/

 

The original idea was to put build in it's place, however they may have changed plans. Not sure why creative is still up but I was never permed moderator on the server and there was always someone breaking rules and reports were going an and no one came. So take it as a recommendation if you are keeping creative up.

This is turning into an argument rather than staying on-topic which is about giving creative some love. The reason why creative died is mainly because it is still in 1.7 but we're already on 1.9. If creative was updated and was given some love like how build is, it would still be popular. We used to have 150-200 players on Creative during the old days when creative wasn't outdated. I didn't want to say anything but the way I see it is you guys are stating the pros of build and comparing it with the cons of creative which would obviously lead to build being the "better" server. Like I stated earlier in the thread, as a staff for Build and an old Creative regular, I do love both servers. Everyone has a reason why they like or prefer one than the other. Creative is better for some people, Build is better for other people, but that doesn't mean the people who prefer creative are weird or wrong because you may think build is better. Also, I want to point out the current build competition is held in creative for a reason. People who think Build is better are mostly the "map makers" as what I would call them. Build has great features that are advantages for map makers. People who think Creative is better are mostly those who are more open with their builds and would like getting inspired by things surrounding them and enjoy the feeling of when you get accepted for the rank you apply for. Also, the thing I really like about creative is you can start building off and the plot limit actually allows me to add a lot more details than where in build i have no clue where to start because of the huge map. However, everyone is different and works differently, so I wouldn't say anything that could offend the players from each servers.

Honestly, age has nothing to do with this. I just think you guys are confused as to why some people prefer creative and some people prefer build.

Also, @quinox_ I don't think you've played creative enough to know what it's really like. When MCPvP joined Brawl, creative was already changed a lot but with the changes that happened after MCPvP joined, such as Build getting transferred to Brawl affected Creative completely. But since you can't bring back what was in the past, that's all I can really say about creative. And yes creative is very outdated, but that's not the community's decision whether to have it updated or not.

I'm going to go ahead and lock the thread as I do not want further argument about which is better than which. They both are great servers that everyone has different perspective and opinions to.
