cops abusing powers.....

    So yeah ive been playing alot lately, doing everything from super illeagal to extremely hippie peaceful.

    Ive noticed SEVERAL sherieffs that abuse their power.


    they work in teams of 4-5 gangsters and 1 sherieff, 2 people will camp the rebel base but wont kill anyone who comes in, instead they will act peaceful. then they will notify their sherieff friend of the prescence of the newcomer and wait.

    when the crooked cop arrives then (and im not sure how, maybe through a glitch) they take the drugs and all the stuff then send the guy to jail, the cop then leaves the 2 original guys to do the processing.

    cop waits just outside

    meanwhile the other 3 guys go to the drug field, harvest, then drop it off to the guys inside where they basically get infinite money.

    sure this is fun, but it is kinda an abuse of it all. i literally had 120ish bounty and was standing next to a guy with several thousand and the cop didnt touch him but still handcuffed me then let the other guy kill me and stole my dia pik and dia sword then sent me to jail....


    Anyways Should i apply for cop? I promise to never be like these douches^

    by the way, shoutout to @907BaccaFTW and @18kss for being the only honest sherieffs (at least when ive dealt with you)

    Ok:
    1) Sheriffs have every right to get information from people at rebel bases. If you see something, say something. I'll sometimes offer 10% of all $$ made from a tip that led to an arrest.
    2) sheriffs should inspect everyone at a base, if they don't, report them to Lord_roke not in a thread.
    Essentially, look at the guidelines. If a sheriff don't follow them, report to Roke.

    1.) Sheriffs don't ever leave a person uninspected in a rebel base. As Inge said, we are allowed to collect information from other players, but we are still required to check them. If you see a sheriff letting people process without inspecting, please gather evidence and report it to Lord_Roke, as Inge also said if I learned how to read :v
    2.) If we inspect you, your illegal items are despawned, and the inspecting sheriff gets 2g for each drug and 200g for each illegal gun. If you have drugs in a rebel base, expect to be arrested if you see a sheriff.
    3.) Sheriffs can not arrest people purely because they have a bounty. They need to be in an illegal place or performing an illegal action for us to handcuff them.
    4.) You really didn't have to call the whole sheriff team "douches." That was uncalled for, and that is an extremely rude thing to say tbh
    Overall, there are a lot of things that sheriffs are not allowed to do that are mentioned in your thread. If you see sheriffs commiting these acts, please go to Lord_Roke with evidence

    I agree with the other 2 sheriffs
    And no, you shouldn't apply for sheriff as the apps are closed. But if they're opened, feel free to apply if you feel experienced and active enough.

    If you want to be sheriff, I highly recommend you don't call them ''douches'', complain to @Lord_Roke about a sheriff.

    Make sure you understand the rules about being arrested. If players are smart, and stashed their drugs in a horse when the sheriff showed up, they probably got cuffed, inspected, and set free.

    Record every time you see a sheriff, if you can.

    I've only ever seen one sheriff misbehave terribly, and he didn't last long as sheriff. Most of them try really hard to work within the rules.

    These two posts sum it up very well, if a Sheriff actually violates the rules of the Sheriff Handbook you should report him to me directly via PM.
