    HG COMMUNITY EVENT - KING OF THE HILL
    ​
    Greetings Brawlers,

    We're gonna give HG a kick with a nice small community event. I don't want to keep you waiting so let's discuss the details. We hope you enjoy.

    Now, this event will take place on Saturday, May 14th.

    Time:
    • May 28th at 4:30 PM EST
    Where:
    • 1.mc-hg.com
    This will not be your normal HG round. This will be a King of the Hill HG round! You will have 10 minutes to gather your supplies and head to the hill. At the end of that ten minutes, the chaos will start. The first one to stay at the top for 15 seconds wins.

    Places will be determined by a scoreboard that has been coded by @Totom3. To win you must survive at the top for 15 seconds. Second and third place will be determined by the runner-ups.

    Ex:

    1st: chickenputty | 15s
    2nd: Chaploo | 12s (or anything lower)
    3rd: Yinskape | 8s (or anything lower)

    Rules:

    Yes, there are rules that you must follow.
    1. Follow all Brawl rules
    2. No teams allowed! Only solo.
    3. Do not spam the staff monitoring the game if you have a question, PM them once.
    If you are caught breaking any of these rules, you will be disqualified.

    The following kits will be disabled:
    • Anchor
    • Burrower
    • Demoman
    • Digger
    • Endermage
    • Jackhammer
    • Leviator
    • Grenadier
    • Neo
    • Pickpocket
    • Soulstealer
    • Tank
    • Titan
    • Turtle

    No blocks or liquids. Though you can build above and below the hill, from a range of 20 blocks.

    This sounds like an interesting challenge/competition. However, it could be bypassed and cheated on. Anti knockbackers could dominate this, so there should be staff watching to demolish ze heeckers.
    Overall, this seems like it will be great! :smile:

    This gonna last 10 min and 15 sec

    In this case, can we have a massive FFA after the KOTH has been capped?

    Is it possible to kill during the 10 min?

    Also, I think 15s is way too short. It should be at least 1 min, if not as I said it'll end straight away

    15s is very short. If the KOTH ends as soon as someone caps, the hacker could cap before anyone sees it, because chances are there would be a massive pile on top the KOTH, making it hard to see if anyone is hacking. Besides, why not increase it? There will be a longer game

    You haven't seen a pile of 50/60 people in one pile. It's very, VERY hard to see anything

    50 to 60 people won't be on the hill at once, maybe 10 at most. Have you even seen a KOTH from the steam days? Not everyone goes for the hill right off the bat, people mine iron, get materials, etc.

    Even if 50 or 70 people are on, we will be able to find them.

    I'm assuming that this is soup. Also stomper should be disabled or else they are just going to be camping on the hill.
