    Currently:
Melee kills give you over 1k bounty.
Gun kills give you 250 bounty.

To fix this, every time you shoot an Illegal gun, your bounty should increase by 5(pistol) 10 (rifle) or 20(shotgun), even if you do not hit anything.

New players getting over 1k bounty for a single melee kill, especially when their attacker might have been the true rogue, seems a bit discouraging, so I am also suggesting that if possible, daggers should create less bounty than the other melee weapons.

Melee kills should just give less bounty than Gun kills in general, because it is a lot harder to kill someone with a sword than a gun.

As I understand it, Bounty is based off of damage done to a target, and the way bullets work, they register less than a sword hit does.

Actually... melee kills should give more bounty in this respect. A dagger being the starting weapon for noobs would be the weapon that most people die by. You are literally stabbing/slashing a man to death which can be very brutal. Even using a sabre you're still literally hacking and slashing and stabbing a man to death. Guns on the other hand are not as brutal and less "painful" to put it simply. So the fact that you gain more bounty through a more brutal way of murdering someone is logical.

Although that's how I see it and you might not.

Due to the fact that you have to get up close a personal means not many people will be willing to try to stick you with a dagger. Therefore, if it gets to that situation, you're going to experience repercussions. We aren't trying to stop killing altogether because this is a pvp based gamemode, so we assumed gun fights would be a common occurrence. Therefore, people should not be punished too heavily from shooting someone as opposed to actually walking up to someone and cutting them.

Yes, I agree, we do not want to overly punish gun users.

The purpose of this idea is to make the New Player experience less punishing. All they have is Melee.
