Look, we all know ads are the devil's spawn on the internet. I think so to. I use Adblock Plus. But we could use the money. If we start using ads, I promise I'll turn off Adblock Plus on Brawl.com. We need be careful what kind of ads we display on Brawl, because some ads can contain malware.

I take it you're referencing me calling ads the devil's spawn?

Most ads are malware, you know. Even though Brawl need the money, I'd never turn of AdBlock.

The only websites I've noticed where there are malicious ads are adult websites. Yeah, I used to go on "those" websites.

Tbh I don't really care how much money Brawl makes or not since I'm certainly not going to get any of it.

You will no longer be ctf's recident grump if brawl dies.
    I'm just evil myself.
Edit: And I do largely agree with you.

Most ads reflect your search history, but still, there's malware pretty much everywhere on these ads.

Since it has been created, Brawl has never been in the need of advertising. We are currently using votes but of course this system doesn't yield at all. For the moment, we will see how this new EULA system strikes Brawl and how the high staff team are going to find ways to make money. There's a ton of threads that have been created with lots of pretty good ideas. But for now, we do not need to advertise Brawl servers.

Ads are definitely not the answer for Brawl's money situation. They have cut most servers down, saving thousands of dollars per year. They will still be selling items in the shop, although I really don't know why anyone would want to pay real life money for something completely useless in terms of game play (cosmetics). Brawl definitely needs income, but they don't need as much as they did before to keep the server running and the devs paid. Advertisements would bring in a lot of hate on Brawl. I have a feeling many people would leave the forums if there were all these fake and virus-inducing ads covering the screen when people browse the forums. AdBlock Plus is very useful, but many still don't know about it so they would see all these scam ads. I say no for this.

Yeah, a lot of gullible children will be more than willing to click on an ad that says, "Congratulations! You're the 10,000th person to visit this webpage! Click here to claim your prize!"

I really don't understand how ads are effective in making money anymore, considering basically everyone uses AdBlock. Most people who don't have AdBlock either don't realise how amazing it is, or are younger people who don't know much about the Internet, who are likely to see a "FREE MINECRAFT - CLICK HERE!!!" ad and click it, then downloading a virus.

I think Brawl should find other ways to make money, since ads are just so flawed.

Ad companies and websites are becoming clever at dealing with Adblock users. Like, restricting access or use of a webpage, unless you turn off Adblock.

So far every single one that I've seen like that has been very easy to bypass, even if its just turning adblock off to get onto the website then turning adblock back on when I'm on the website. And if Brawl forced to get ads, people would probably get quite pissed off. Then again, there wasn't much hate when McPvP added ads on their forums when it was in a similar situation, depends how much things have changed I guess.
