Rogue problems

    So, I've been having trouble with the whole rogue system. There is quite some mistakes and glitches that are heavily abused by players. These are:

    Logging in towns
    Everyone knows that when you become rogue, every sheriff online will hunt you. But I ( as a sheriff ) have witnessed that rogue players in towns don't have to do /logout to escape from sheriffs. The only thing that they have to do is press escape and leave server or simply do /hub, because pvp logger don't appear in towns, which means that a sheriff cannot punish this player by killing the logger and sending the player to jail.

    /tag
    As a rogue, you can simply do /tag Elite or any other tag if you have a rank. This causes the tag in tab to disappear. You can still track the rogues with the rogue tracker, but why would anyone click on the rogue tracker if there are clearly 'no rogues'?

    Logging in and out as a rogue
    When a rogue logs out and joins back immediately, the rogue tag in tab also seems to disappear, so the same happens when someone does /tag.

    Reboot

    When there is a reboot, and you become a rogue before the reboot occurs(and this only happens when there is a reboot warning message in chat), after the reboot, your rogue goes away.

    You could change Rogue to be a suffix, separate from the donor tags.

    I have something to add on. When there is a reboot, and you become a rogue before the reboot occurs(and this only happens when there is a reboot warning message in chat), after the reboot, your rogue goes away.

    Some very good points, all of which I can see would be annoying for sheriffs. I never log of in a town when a sheriff comes to my house :wink:

    Does the Rogue timer continue after you log off? Can you log back in 5 minutes and the duration has expired?

    No, timer stops once you log off... however, if there is a reboot in-between the time you log off, and the time you log back on, Rouge is gone.

    I agree, very annoying for rogue hunters and sheriffs :/. If we really want to make it more difficult for rogues to be caught, we should make a specific plugin / feature for it and not glitch-abusing.

    You can place chests in the doorway to your house so that a sheriff can't get in to arrest you (@blackbear44)

    The logging out doesnt get rid of rogue. The tab might be gone however if you use compass they will still be on rogue. I have seen it with a few people who logout as rogue when they see me
