Boring Infect

    So I've noticed in the last month or so that infect has become by far the most boring/pointless game mode on mc-war. Ray/Law spam has broken the gm to the point that zombies literally never win, even on the easiest maps UNLESS more than one zombie spams grenades/c4 to counter balance. I have watched round after round as newer players quit and never come back for exactly this reason. tldr either infect needs to be removed, or ray/law need nerfing so that infect is playable again. Thoughts anyone?

    Infection is a little unusual. I like they idea of it but it is done wrong. Infected should NOT get explosives, like... what?? Also select certain maps for it that don't have glitched spots maybe? Then Give the first infected a pistol with 30 bullets??? just some ideas.

    I agree that zoms shouldn't have explosives because it's a little wierd, but it's literally all that balances out the gameplay at the moment. Also, I'm not familiar with the map/gm algorithm, but it seems that when infect does happen, it happens like 2-5 games in a row with maybe one other gm mixed in-that's when people start leaving

    Honestly the game/code is so old/broken that I wouldn't bother fixing it. I would suggest either not giving a **** or proposing suggestions to fix the situation, only to have it ignored because honestly, who cares about the old war when you have the new, spanking new war!
    Yeah! who gives a crap about that old war, the joints are creaking, its alcoholic addition is driving me up the fking wall, and it has dementia. geez at this point you have to wonder why no one sent him to a nursery home or something only to have it die slowly, slightly ignored by its own family, dying alone

    If the obtainment of grenades by the zombies annoys you and breaks your fourth wall, then I would suggest imagining the zombies as that guy in math class who really hates your guts because you told him that he has aids or something.

    tl;dr
    1) don't bother or 2) actually bother with no foreseeable successful result

    I have to say that Infect is a "donor" gamemode, but if there is enough zombies, they can overcome anything. I love infect

    basicly because everyone bought raygun and minigun. We cant fix it :/
    With the new eula thing it is going to be even more boring. Everyone will buy raygun then.

    Literally the only time I die in infect is when an EMP is launched from a zombie (which is bs btw), I just camp behind some nub who spams ray lol

    The problem I'm seeing is that there isn't a chance to have a 'enough' zombies-The only people who get infected are noobs who don't understand spawn protection and people who want to be infected for the points. So usually each infect round is a boring spawn trap where like three people get a decent score without any challenge.

    Hence possibly just removing the gm :/

    There should be a cooldown on such weapons and then pistols would have a faster reload time as well as having a little more damage xP So they cant spam the heck out of the primary guns and are forced to use their secondary xP

    I personally agree with leko, all it takes is one player who is familiar with the map to change the tide (with or without the help of equipment/perks) of the game. If someone good suicides, the infected usually win. If not, the game is at least fun. I think the solution to infect is not to nerf/remove guns, it is to have at least one of the better players suicide to make it fair.

    What makes a lot of newer player hate infect is the camping. Some players just don't get that charging at a player with a ray gun or minigun (or even a law) repeatedly is not going to do anything. Newer players will just attack the same person from the same place over and over again getting more and more frustrated. This is what causes them to quit, them feeling like their effort is futile and useless (which in that case it is). Unfortunately, all newer players need to learn this lesson to be good at infect, and the only way they can learn is through making the same mistake over and over again.

    I can almost re-build half of the maps just from my mind and yet i fail as a zombie. On some maps i know what to do and yet i fail (as a root) and then when i respawn its too late to do something better than getting a couple of kills then getting killed and so on (no emp=Rip) i might not be the best zombie but im also far from the worst. And you wont have good players suiciding because they will get better stats as a human (no deaths=better kdr). And i know noone but leko that actually knows how to rek as a zombie.

    And we are the ones who have to change not the noobs, they give us 90% of our kills <3 so we need em

    Suicide guide jokes aside,I do agree that infect is very boring for both zombies and survivors,because apparently every war map has some kind of overpowered camping spot.

    So my opinion (as a (i think not too bad) suicider):
    First of all, ray and law are just way too op, when just five better player camp somewhere with those, it's almost impossible to kill them. And when all of them start to spawncamp the zombies... well yeah. But i think the only problem with ray and law is the knockback. When you just spawn down as a zombie, it would be not a problem to get close to the survivors if it's not about the extremely high knocback of the raygun. If only this one thing could be changed (so the ray and law has less/no knockback) it would be nearly balanced (this one would be hard cuz ray and law works with MC explosions...).
    Zombies using explosions? This is half-bad half-good: grenades can be purchased by anyone for credits (or tokens), and it's kinda take "skills" to throw them properly at some situations. Don't remove grenades from the zombies because it would be unbalanced again (lmao camping on firingrange_inf in that little house with leman when noone has grenades/c4s...) But c4's are just unfair against those who want to survive, some professional players with c4's just rush in and place the c4 before they can do anything (why these zombies can't just hit them? For real, it's more simple than all this bs) or go behind them and kill them through the wall... (just what?)

    Overall: nerf the ray's and law's knockback, remove c4's from zombies but not the grenades (and ffs why would you give GUNS to the zombies to BALANCE it???)

    Yes infect is a little unbalanced at times but I also agree with dark that if you have enough zombies its still doable.
