why censoring "hitler" and "kkk" doesn't make sense

I agree to an extend. You need to remember that this game is advertised for kids.

 

I think I'll let someone else take over, me and you will take a few pages full lol.

 

So what if their censored, doesn't really affect me, if it gets uncensored than alright great. I have no need of mentioning those words anyway.

 

This post is what we call useless.

To be honest those words are not really bad, but to be honest Hitler should stay censored.

 

Everyone needs to stop being so sensitive and getting offended by words on a screen imo.

People need to let this topic go. We'll censor whatever we feel should be censored, especially when it comes to horrific tragedies and racial terms. The whole subject is touchy, and we don't feel like upsetting the other 90% of the player base.

That's always been a huge problem with the censorship to me.

I mean, **** not only doesn't actually censor the fact that you're cussing someone out, it replaces the word with four highly visible asterisks that make it much more obvious that someone just swore, and given the number of 4 letter swears it could be any of them.

Like, honestly, if the kid's too young to know exactly what's under those asterisks, they're too young to know what the words mean in the first place.

Also, the term 'Deus ex machina' gets censored because it contains three letters in two different words that might mean intercourse if you were some form of fragile moron.

 

I don't get why this is even being discussed. It's not like people are going to go around it and immediately started saying Hitler if its cencored or uncencored. Words that are cencored are cencored for a reason and the ones that aren't aren't supposed to be cencored. Those that continuously talk about this give off the impression that they want to use these words. Just be a good person and don't. And if you mean to tell me you don't want to use these words but they should be uncencored anyway... What?

 

And I don't think they should make those either. It's a children's game and we have to constantly be aware of our public image while online. Imagine taking ng the risk and turning off all words that we've deemed bad, and a 7 years olds mother walks by and sees the ninesence that goes on and the uncencorship. That would give us a bad reputation and we can't have that. Whether there are no children on the server, or only children, we have to take into account even the youngest person when making a decision about what to cencor and what to not cencor.
