Hackers are a real problem. Please make NoCheat as stringent as it is on other servers.

Exaclty, my whole team got killed by a hacker using fly hacks. I talked about this with staffs but they say "It will be fixed soon" It has been like this for ages. When a hacker is reported and the report is accepted the hacker will only get banned once they log off. But what kind of system is this? It doesnt work at all.

 

It's a good thing @xxMacroSheepxx, @TheMafias, and @Glock_Fanatic became JMods, but the most JMods can do to hackers is just kick them for 30 minutes or 1 hour.

 

This still doesnt fix the whole problem. The problem is the NoCheat / BrawlBot not working. And the ban system not functioning correctly.

 

You should record when you see one. I do. It feels so satisfying.

 

I am not much of a PvPer and don't risk too much going to rebel bases "that often". But I seriously gotta agree to all of this, I know the devs are working on other projects mostly because of the EULA and don't have that much time to fix anti-cheat, but come on hackers on WildWest are really common these days. They became too much of a common thing now a days that players stopped reporting them.

 

Usually I try not to reply (and side) in threads like this, but I want to say something anyway.

This is a perfect example of being human. We all want ourselves to benefit and be happier - but a lot of us take things the wrong way. I understand that you want to keep your own items, though by not "assisting the server" and taking the hacker down, think of what may happen. If you don't report/record the hacker, but win the fight, then you've just simply tossed the problem over to someone else. One day, you may very well be killed by a hacker and lose all your OP expensive gear - and what would you think if you found out that someone else could have reported and sent the hacker to banville, but didn't? And just because that person didn't report the hacker, now YOU take the fall? You'd probably be fairly peeved, and completely ignore the fact that you've done the exact same thing before.

We're not perfect, we're human, but being human doesn't mean you have full rights to sacrifice the well-being of others for your own benefit. I know this probably sounds extreme, but so few take subtlety seriously that it seemed a bit necessary.

 

So what you are saying is that you want hackers to roam free. Great idea. Also it is part of the players job to catch hackers. Staff cant pay attention to the 700+ players out there

 

Yes, something does need to be done about this. Unfortunately, we aren't the only server community Brawl has to worry about, and from some threads recently posted, clearly the coders are very much occupied. Non-codeable solutions would be welcome however. (Such as accepting recordings of navigators tracking an obvious speed hacker. *Wink Wink*)

This sort of thing will only make it worse. They don't have to do anything. If the community does nothing, then it will only allow more hackers to roam freely. Seriously guys, where Brawl's system is weak, the community should step up in the meantime until something is done about it.

 

I do agree with you on the flying issue. That really should not be too difficult to fix. I'd be fine dealing with only grounded speed hackers for the present until Brawlbot can be fixed. Under what other circumstances would a player be mistaken as flying anyways? Maybe getting launched by a lasso?

Wrong.
It's the job of players to catch hackers when there's no staff available to get on the scene, and it's the staff's job to ban them.

So you would rather keep your hard earned items than risk losing them by recording the hacker? Wouldn't you lose those items either way from the hacker killing you?
And why encourage others not to record and report hackers? It won't rush the staff to implement anything, it'll just rush players away from the server due to a downfall of hackers.
