Sheriffs too OP?

There is no way this actually happened as you put it. The repeater is as strong as the Gewher, so there is no way it did more damage. Sheriffs armor is also weaker than full D. In my experience, Gewher shots do 4.5 hearts of damage. (Headshots do more.)

Players tend to think that sheriff gear is overpowered, but it really isn't. The Coach Gun is probably the only thing that is OP if anything. Models two hit sheriffs generally, and Gewhers can rack up massive damage as well. Sure, 1 full D might die to sheriffs, but 1 full D can die to anyone, especially if they have a Model (which is probably the best gun in the game with the exception of the Coach Gun). Seriously, sheriffs need to be somewhat good due to the fact that they are generally outnumbered. Two leathers with models is all it takes to kill a sheriff. Armor is the real issue. It's underpowered and expensive for how OP the guns are.

 

I didn't exactly record my hearts, but I do know that it was 4 1/2 or 3 1/2 hearts. I did one shot him, which happens quite a lot (as @Eil knows).

I think it needs very minor tweaks, not something drastic.

 

Sheriff armor is better than diamond.

 

nah, iron is a bit worse than diamond, but for sheriffs, its not easy, players can get the first hit, so i don't think sheriffs are op at all

one shot in full d, could be combo with 2 guns, have u thought about that?

Just because he thought he did doesn't mean that it's possible (unless there is a one-shot glitch, but I think that's pretty unlikely). :v

I'm fairly sure headshots with the repeater one-shot leathers.

 

I think it does with Indian armor too as I managed to one-shot PoixMine with my repeater and he was at full health with full Indian armor.

Take the advantage that sheriffs don't shoot first.

There is a known issue where occasionally headshots do extra damage, taking a full 10 hearts off a full diamond player. It has been in-game since at least before the reset, when I first encountered it.

 

If that really is the case, then I suppose the issue is not that sheriffs are OP, but that there is a bug where headshots do insane damage... Does this apply for non-sheriffs as well?

 

I 1-shot a full diamond with a t-g, 10 to 0.

 

I personally think the sheriff guns are too OP. As @aGuyInAsuite knows, I attacked him from behind when he was attacking a teammate at a rebel base, I came up behind him, managed 2 model shots at close range, then he turns and 1 shots me - I was in full gold. Every time I have ever been killed by a sheriff, it has always been a 1 shot. While I have never engaged a sheriff in diamond, I have in gold and of course leather, but regardless, I am always 1 shot.

 

I think you can just look at this 2 ways. Sheriff guns are illegals but obviously just you know... legal so are we also saying that our illegals are op? I am pretty sure they have the same stats. But the other way you can look at this is as @PatrykSzczescie said is we always (unless abusing) get the first shot. Now obviously this is not the best thing for the sheriff as maybe (Sheriff can clarify) can be 1 shot too so you could say that is op? I personally think it is not op since the fact is you get first shot, if you have the guns to fight you may win. If you get unlucky and you get 1 shot then you are unlucky.
