1.8 or 1.9?

Im pretty sure UltraPunisher has like, the best maintaining series on brawl, and hes mostly pvping, imo 1.7 would be the best solution, maybe even Stimpy would play here if this server was 1.7

The server needs change. 1.9 is great with fixes, and it is the best choice. If we were to update to 1.9, what changes would you like to see to the version? It isn't all bad.

 

Meh. 1.9 PvP is kinda unbalanced even with cooldown changes and such. Lava is very powerful, diamond armor is useless, and the blocking blocks all damage done to you in the front, but not the back, sides, etc. Plus 1.9 is just buggy and laggy in general. Lots of lighting bugs.

I say 1.8 but if it does update to 1.9 (Which will eventually happen) then all the good/OG/long time players will no longer play this server, and more noobs will join. All pvpers will quit and go to kohi or hcteams where it's still 1.7/1.8. But i doubt staff care about what who plays as long as people play

...You don't even play survival...

 

1.7 with 1.8 and 1.9 compatibility, it's not hard as some other big servers are doing it, that would make pvp a lot more fun and so on, but if you're not going to make pvp 1.7 (which you should, the whole community wants it) then keep it at 1.8. All the community begs for 1.7, so why not give it to them?

 

You haven't stepped foot on Survival for one second. Anyways, I'd prefer Survival to stay 1.8. 1.9 just changes too much about the game.

 

when the server updates to 1.9, I will quit, so will the majority of other pvpers that play Survival pvp on brawl.

 

I can tell that if we downgrade to 1.7 the average amount of players would be duplicated.

Because it is the preferred version to PvP on. You wouldn't understand because you are more of a tracker than pvper...

 

I actually was asking legit to see what he thinks. I already know your opinion. There is a lot more to Survival than pvping tho, and the 1.9 pvping can be fixed.

 

There isn't actually much to survival other than pvping (Big one right there), tracking, building, and exploring. That's about it. Pvp is the reason why all the decent and smart players still play this server. The rest is just noobs that don't know you can leave spawn and just sit around the pig spawner all day

 

Not exactly. Pvping is a huge part of the server, but there are other features that people play for. The pvping can be fixed, and 1.9 will give a new style to the server. It's been 1.8 for over a year, and thats just too long and boring imo.

 

Of course the community ( including me ) would rather 1.8, but I would like to have the 1.9 blocks and mechanisms but with the 1.8 combat system. I know for a fact that the developers of Mojang has implemented the 1.8 combat with a 1.9 minecraft launcher using command blocks. So that would probably be the best decision you should make in my opinion. Again just to clarify, I want 1.8 PVP

1.7 w/ 1.8 compatibility will only hurt the servers. All of Brawl's servers will have to update eventually. There's no way Brawl is gonna stay downgraded just to host one server. I know survival pvp can be accessed through a direct IP but I'm pretty sure it would annoy a lot of players to keep switching minecraft versions in order to play different servers. This would only hurt our player base. I'm sorry but you guys should give 1.9 a chance. I know a fair share of you didn't like 1.8 pvp at first (and still don't) but you adapted to it. It's the same thing with 1.9.

 

I know there are other features to survival than just pvp... i just listed them..

 

1.9 is absolutely garnage for pvp, Survivalpvp is based around pvp, it's in the name, sure tracking and building are other parts but you never hear anyone say "I can build better than you" I've been pvping for a while now and 1.7 is the best option and it keeps things that are op, op. such as p4. I know at least 10 well known players that will quit if survival pvp goes to 1.9. Now don't get me wrong, brawl is great but 1.9 will kill survival pvp.

The only way to keep the pvpers( the majority of people who bought ranks in survival) is to use a 1.7 or 1.8 style combat system.

 

Ok if you can make it 1.9 with perfect 1.7 pvp I'm in.
