Leaving if survival pvp updates to 1.9's combat system?

Why would you leave if it updates? Everything will be the same besides that axes do more damage than swords.
There will also be new cool features such as the tipped arrows.

 

Because, most of the not noobs players PVP all time (including me) 1.9 totally DESTROYED pvp so there is no point of playing anymore it won't be anyfun AT ALL.

 

The pvping system will most likely be fixed :n How many times must I say it. Do you think we aren't listening to the pvpers of the community? There are obviously some awful features of 1.9 when considering the pvp mechanics, don't get me wrong. However, those awful features can in fact be fixed. It is important to remember that Survival has other aspects that just pvping. We need to appeal to those too, as well as pvping.

 

Sponges are fixed in the next map :n But that was besides my point.

Yes, but I'm sure that that won't be the case. We know that pvping is definitely a huge part of the server, and keeping the 1.9 mechanics as they are would upset the community.

 

@0racle What about "Elytra" (Item that allows players to fly on 1.9 MC version) ?
- Travelling by nether would be really op and spawn camping will be significantly increased.
- Elytra users would be able to fly around the map with a minimap and find sky-bases easily, that would make tracking less important.

Oracle you keep saying that 1.9 PvP can be coded differently, but why don't other servers do it then to stay up to date? And I'm not talking about all the 1.7 servers that I play, I'm talking about the biggest server, mineplex, yes they're 1.8/1.9 compatible but the thing is, if coding 1.9 PvP to be like an older version will solve everything you're wrong. That's the reason why big servers are still 1.8 compatible, they know that just by changing the PvP mechanics the server will look bad "only compatible with 1.9" everyone will look at that and just leave. If they do code 1.9 to have an older sense of combat and keep it 1.8 and 1.9 then they'll waste time because people will just use 1.8, I get you really, but you're looking at what you want, you're not listening to the community.

 

Spawn camping? And isn't increased travel time better? I think they would be so fun to have.

Because they are pvping servers. Survival PvP is more than pvping. Also, some other servers are making the transition. 1.9 will all be eventual.

 

I don't pvp bc I have a very slow computer (25 fps max) but I can still play, but 1.9 is going to be crap.

 

Hopefully they won't. If they listen to the community (Guess and hope they do) they choose to either remain 1.8, or go back to 1.7.

 

Are you serious? Mineplex isn't a PvP server xD it has PvP games just like brawl, but it's not a pvp server LOOL silly Canadian. With that being said, same goes for hypixle, if coding 1.9 to be like 1.7/1.8 then they should be able to right, by you logic? But they can't though. :L and they're not transitioning, I have yet to see a server that is only 1.9 compatible, every major server is 1.7/1.8/1.9 compatible

 

Cube is 1.9, and that is big. Things will have to move on at some point. 1.9 isn't all bad either.
