I've had a few players log in after logging out in rebel bases. While they're downloading the resource pack, its very easy to kill them while they can't do anything. Although it can be avoided by just not logging out in rebel bases, I think it'd be nice if players who log out in rebel bases would log back in and spawn at the entrance of the rebel base, or in the middle of the rebel base.

I just hate when people log out in rebel bases, maybe because I'm a sheriff :^)

Anyway when I was a bandit this happened often, and gets a little annoying. I like this, +1 from me.

I think the only problem with this is if there are 2 people in the base and you know exactly where they are, the first person to load in the texture pack you know... wins.

Edit: My 100th message. Yay! ^_^

Uhh, I don't quite understand. This suggestion only tries to stop situations where someone logs into wild west and spawn in a rebel base, allowing anyone in the rebel base to easily kill them. The person already in the rebel base doesn't have to download a resource pack because its already downloaded, so they'll always win.

When do people ever camp the middle or entrance of the base? People usually camp the processors (since they have to in order to process). This means if you log out in a processor, when you log back in you won't get killed straight away.

Some people like camping in the entrance with a gun, to rack up the kills.

I think that you shouldn't be able to log out in a rebel base, and if you do you get a PvP logger. This would save me a lot of trouble. For example, you do /logout in a rebel base

You can't log out because you're in a rebel base!

I've never seen people camping the entrance

Also, what if someone crashes/gets disconnected in a rebel base?

This is why I use default texture pack and disable any resource pack popups...

It's their own choice to log out at the processor, if they get killed it's their own fault

Not all the time. Sometimes their wifi crashes and they have to log back in.

just have the tpack enabled prior to logging in and disable the server automatically giving you the tpack on login (in your server lists)

We should not encourage people to log out in PvP locations by making it easier for them to do so.

What's so bad about logging out in PvP locations? Unless its a combat log, usually its fine.

Yes, I mean a combat log out. Alternatively a combat log-in can be particularly effective, see Eil's strategy of logging in at Wild Grass with full gear and wiping out whoever was processing there.

The in-game mechanics shouldn't encourage either by trying to offer safer spawns for people who use these tactics.

Give him credit, it's quite ingenious, in a messed up sort of way.

    No this is completely useless.

There are two very easy ways to avoid this:
    - Disable server textures by clicking edit on a server's options
    - If you don't want to disable the textures, then don't log in a rebel base. It is really that simple.

Or you can die to CROW

In my opinion, if you log in a rebel base, you obviously have something wrong with your play style. For all you know, there could be a diamond, a diamond team, a loner, a team, a sheriff, a sheriff team, or even nobody at all. Too many variables to take the risk. It's not that hard to run a couple hundred blocks from the base before logging.

Exactly. There are too many things that can happen while you are offline and when you come back you could be facing a whole team (maybe even full D's). When I was a bandit I only logged out in towns. Rebel bases are one of the most dangerous places to log.
