Censor Levels

    We're going to try to implement three different type of censor levels today.

    • Off - Words will not be censored.
    • Normal - Only very vulgar words will be censored (PG-13).
    • Strict - Child friendly, a very tight level filter.

    Here is what we have for each level so far:

    Blocked on strict:

    Post any concerns about what word is under what filter level. ​

    Remember:
    Changed:
    No longer filtering "glade" at all
    "hilter"" is strict only
    "fk" is normal (and strict)

    FINALLY!

    I know you said that the infrastructure makes this very hard to implement, so I highly doubt this is going to be added, but just a suggestion I want to put out there: since what people get offended by varies from person to person, a chat filter where you can chose what you want to see censored for yourself would be pretty helpful.

    Not sure if its possible or even worth the time, but the change already planned is brilliant and definitely enough to sort out the issue. Great to see Brawl's listening to us :smile:

    It would only be censored on the level "strict" and it is censored because some people consider it offensive.

    Hypixel had issues with this messing up their infrastructure. Will definitely be a premium perk if we can get to it, but we're adding the levels first.

    We have been thinking about making strict default and making the other levels available to premium ranks. What do you all think about this? (#EULA)

    Look at the colour of my name, this obviously won't effect me, but I think it would be quite annoying for non-donators. Perhaps if you could buy it as a separate perk as well as it coming with ranks.

    Sounds good, there are ways to code the tab as well, so if you're on war for example, currently when you press tab you see the names of players but if you donate, you can pick a different tab which shows your stats/team kills and so on?

    Hmm, I don't think that I would buy a rank just for that.

    I do agree with SoCool, maybe like 2 or 5 dollars for the access?

    Hey, as some people may know, I'm a spanish speaker and I was wondering why the word " negro " is censored?
    - It's just a color, it means "black" in english. And it's not a bad word as far as I know.
