Two years is a long time

This was the message I recieved on this day two years ago on the Creative server. No interview, no details, just straight up Creative Moderator (Manager back then). I joined the Skype staff chat minutes later, to everyone’s surprise, to my sudden promotion. It was probably a promotion not many had expected, nor believed to be possible for an ordinary player. The Creative Manager rank was, and still is, so different to the one of the Moderator as it came with all permissions and had the special [Admin] prefix. Therefore it was very hard to obtain.

Two years have passed so quickly and during these two years Brawl has indeed changed much, but in a positive way. I have seen many new and old staff come and go, so many that I can’t name them all today. My long time serving Brawl has though given me enough experience to be able to see the staff team’s evolution throughout the years. It has, believe me, just grown stronger and more capable even though there have been issues in the past. The newly introduced Manager system is a pure evidence of this growth.

I have had, and will continue to have, a wonderful experience on Brawl. Being in the staff team have not just given me a larger understanding of how a community is run but it has also assisted me to develop as a person, which I am extremely grateful for.

Some persons have meant a little extra during these two years, so now for the tags.

@chickenputty I don’t know if I would have been here if you wouldn’t have asked me back then. I am incredibly grateful of the fact that you picked an ordinary player, a player which wasn’t really heavily involved in the community on the forums, to be a Manager. During these two years you have been some kind of a supervisor for me. Thank you for always listening and thank you for staying at Brawl.

@daniellazer2902 We have had so much fun in the past Daniel! MKF will always stay in my heart. It’s sad that we both don’t really play as often anymore on War.. or any of the other old MKFers. Thank you for being here.

@AndyinaBEARsuit I first met you when I joined the Creative server back in November 2013. I always thought that you were a cool guy and I have always looked up to you. You are a great builder too, and you have teached me many building tricks throughout these years. I am grateful for that. Thank you for everything Andy.

@MrOhs You trusted me with WorldEdit like the first day. It was fun to build with you while you where here.

@Lord_Roke Keep it up Roke. Soon three years and still going strong. Your promotion was well deserved.

@Doges You are doing a great job for Brawl and you are a great friend. I’m grateful that you wanted to handle the rank applications with me. I honestly wouldn’t have made it otherwise. It got too repetitive… You are a great Builder too. Keep it up Doges.

@patrickdemooij9 It’s sad that you are no longer playing on Brawl Patrick. You were a great friend, a great builder and a great moderator for the time you where here. You and Sturm are the kings of CoD maps! Hopefully you will come back sometime, but I understand that you are busy with other projects.

@PoixMine A great friend. It was awesome that you were promoted without having to apply, like me! Stay awesome Poix.

@Fawely You are a great builder and I am amazed of how you always can be so friendly to everyone.

I might have forgot some persons, but don’t be offended as I needed to type this down quite quickly. You are all wonderful people!
