    Like other pple have already said– I've tried servers with the 3 PvP styles and balancing is a major concern/problem, which doesn't ever seem to be fully fixed. (like how PotPvP is, at its core, underpowered compared to soup) It's no easy task which shouldn't be taken lightly, but if done right, I'm sure it can be a huge success.

    And definitely cut down on the number of kits and edit/improve/add better quality to the rest. (based on the community's opinion)

    I really like these new ideas. I especially like the alternate options to soupPVP. Although people who are good at souping would still have major advantages, it would still help to re-balance hg.

    Yea, then all the winners would choose the most OP style... that's why there needs to be a perfect balance somehow (whether by adding special abilities/effects or whatever).

    I think that it should be a big variety of kits because everyone has a own kit that matches your playstyle very well. I think that 100 kits after removing unneccesary and too op kits would be perfect but i think 50 kits is to less because the kits will probably not fite me. If you would have like 50 kits then you could have players voting the 50 kits they want and then it could maybe fite everyone's playstyle.

    Honestly, no.
    A Survivor can literally just crit and crit and crit, which will make the entire thing s**t and noobs will quit.
    At a MAX, 25 hearts at once.
    And Pot-PvP is disgusting honestly.

    The problem with pot pvp in hg is that when a pot player is fighting a soup player, you need to turn around and/or look down to pot, as opposed to soup where you don't need to. Therefore, the pot player will get destroyed because they just can't keep up with the soup player.

    2 possible ways to improve survival and pot pvp classes:
    1. 50 hearts will take a long time to regen normally after a fight, so Survivor gets regen 5 for 10 seconds after killing a person. If the player takes damage during the regen, the regen stops (to prevent easy team takedowns).
    2. If you are playing the Pot pvp class healing pots heal 4.5 hearts, since pot pvp isn't as good as soup pvp. Plus pots only heal the potter.

    1.) NO. NO. NO. NO. Regen 5? If they get 25 hearts, sure, but not with 50. That's worse than PvPDojo's full heart refill.
    2.) Also make it so that it only heals the potter.

    1. If someone is tracking a survivalist who has 5 hearts left because he just killed a player after a long fight, there is no way his hearts are going to regen fast enough with the default regen when that player gets there. Either make the default regen a lot faster or give regen 5 after killing a player.

    I like some of the ideas here, for example I would like more events. However, I feel like removing a lot of the kits will make the game less fun for people like me, who mainly just choose one kit. I would not like to be forced to switch around.

    Good luck on the changes @BlueGuyARed . You try something new, the die hard McPvPers will inevitably shout at you for ruining their gamemode. You stick to the old, people will tell you to change something to freshen up the experience.

    Personally, I think HG can't function anymore. The problem are the McPvP veterans. These people have played so many games over the course of their lifetime that newbies can't even hold up a stick. The learning curve in order for a newbie to eventually compete with the veterans is very very steep. And the general population of Minecraft now just doesn't have that attention span.

    So what you get are a bunch of very old players along with the odd new player that's determined enough to go through the steep learning curve. This is not a good set up for trying to get a good number of players in.

    The only solution would be to just start anew. Delete all the kits and come up with completely new ones, so that the veterans have to learn how to use each kit again. In this period of time, new players that learn how to soup + get good enough internet to combo reliably can actually learn this whole mess. (not that I really want this to happen, but I don't think HG's gonna ever be great again in the direction it's going now)

    Of course I'll probably get shot for suggesting the idea and I think the reaction of the players if you go through with this will suffice for an R-rated movie, but what Brawl is trying to do is make minor changes to a formula that is VERY old. This can be compared to COD, except HG doesn't even have the huge playerbase.



    (DISCLAIMER: To all the die hard McPvPers, this is just my speculation WITHOUT ANY KIND OF STATISTICS TO BACK IT UP. I wish I had access to the numbers McPvP had, too bad I don't. So please no shrek)

    Very useful to state that you are disagreeing. Not sure what with, though.

    I realize now that my statement of the McPvP veterans was incorrect. That was an issue back when HG was on Brawl yet still had a respectable amount of players, where the new players were regularly creamed by the vets.

    But I suppose we've reached a point where even the most loyal of players find HG boring now. Oh well.

    We all have dreams about HG somehow rising up again....but I mean.... We bury the dead. We don't leave it on the ground in hopes that they'll get up and start walking again.

    HG is a tired gamemode. Changes might revitalize it, but I think people have grown tired of losing to those expert soupers.
