I should find a more appropriate word for setting groups apart but I can't think of any.

Anyway, this idea addresses the problem of war slowing down. War fails to be fun for newcomers and with old players leaving, war will die soon. Imagine how empty war will be when summer ends. The problem is, older players are too op. The advantage we have over newcomers is extremely unfair. With no nades or c4, players in infect often get over 15 deaths with no kills. They can't get more than 5 kills with their usp and i118(is that what its called?). Try /profiling a PVT. I often see 2 kills and 17 deaths or something like that. War is not enjoyable at all for new comers. Shift your perspective to one of a newcomer:

Your wooden axe shoots very slowly and you can't aim very well. You don't know what your shovel does. You repetitively die when you try to walk into a room or clearing. You realize that there is somebody shooting at the opening. You try to kill that guy to get pass but he uses insane angles to protect him. The game is over and you got 1 lucky kill and a dozen deaths. You call that guy a hacker in the chat because it's unfair. The next gamemode is something called infect. It starts and you don't see anybody on the opposite team, you rush to where everyone is going and suddenly, a green guy appears and hits everyone around you. You die. You see some guys up on trees near the spawn and they are shooting red lazers that one-hit. It is impossible to kill them and you end the game with 0-20. You get tired of this so you quickly move on to another server.

I brought this issue up with @chickenputty but he replied that there's not much they could do to make both parties happy. So why not simply separate us?
    Server 1:
    30+
    Server 2,3 and 4:
    lvl 1-30

The servers 2,3 and 4 would get filled up quickly because the newcomers will no longer be facing level 100+s that played this game for years. Instead they would find the game enjoyable, the level 25s being op but killable, no ray gun god raining down lazers from high places that are closely guarded. As the 30+ grows in size, more profits will also start to roll in as people start buying these cosmetics that look fun. Eventually, more servers would be have to be added to serve the more people. Thus, reviving mc-war.

Make 4 all around cause players who play on alts. Rip newbies. But I agree. I had someone pm me ingame a while ago saying his friend wanted to start playing but couldnt cause of all the 1 shot crap war has. It's very sad.

people who play on alts would probably level up to 30 very quickly.

Also, alts are not exactly plentiful.

Still would be fun if you are an alt that wants to play against higher levels

that's not the point, there are very few people who have alts, alts are irrelevant for this idea.

    No.

Level-based servers have been proposed multiple times and shut down over and over again. I see no difference with this case as well.
We barely have a playerbase, dividing it would be the most stupid thing to do.
Is it fair towards lower levels? No.
Would doing it cut our playerbase in half? Without a ****ing doubt.

I think the point is that there won't be a playerbase at all if something that balances things out better doesn't happen. Effectively, it would mean that the higher level players would have a more serious challenge and would improve in skills and it would give noobs a chance to learn the game have fun and maybe even stick around. I for one. am all for this idea.

    It will be like:
    Server (1-30) - 20 players
    Server (31+) - 2 players

I don't think you want to make half of the high-level playerbase to leave right now. It won't be fun for anyone, especially with smurfs. The thing I can agree on is that the teams need to be better balanced.

No, it would ruin the game for for higher levels which is like half of the player base these days. Half of them would quit, including me.

it's a problem if half of the player base is higher levels. It won't change your gameplay much if you think about it, a lot of the players are already 30+ in game.

our player base is tiny because like Astro said, about half the player base is high level players like him. Who would want to play on a server where half of the players on are insanely op?

Who would want to play on a server that has only has 30+ on? Not to mention there would only ever be like 15 ppl on it.

This idea is not beneficial to high-level players like most of us on the forums because it takes away the easy kills that come from spamming. However, to prevent war from dying completing, we must gain new players. This is SUMMER and still, only 30-40 people are on during the times with the most traffic. War will die soon if changes are not made to make it enjoyable for newcomers.

we are already pretty much mostly 30+

We already play on a server where most players are 30+ with around 5-10 -30s. This idea would help the server attract a lot more players. Also, it will be more fun because it would require more skill. Like porkchops30 said, you have to shift your perspective. My friends who tried the server all quit within 2 days. Stop thinking about new players as noobs who you farm kills from. You having fun by farming kills is at the expense of new players quiting because being a kill farm is not fun at all.

Yah this is exactly the sentiment that's going to choke off War till it's gone.

I don't like the second paragraph, it made newbies seem like they don't know their left foot from their right. When i joined war I immediately knew that my weapon(not a shovel) would fire when I right click along with knowing basic block mechanics

Did you see Roke's stats? I'd say that makes you the exception not the rule.

I agree, it's a good idea. But we aren't enough people to split our community. And no, it won't change completely within a few days after we seperated them. Brawl has to less people in general.

Yes, but there are some new comers who are a bit younger who take some more time to understand.
