[For Totom] war 2.0 tips

    Hey everyone!
    Tips / hints / Gameplay helps seem to be a good thing to add in war 2.0 (if it isn't already done :stuck_out_tongue: ). A tip can appears in the chat like every minutes, and help new players to play. We need a lot of different tips, like 150 or 200 (I said a lot :open_mouth:) because they can annoy the good players. Some of my tips ideas:

    If you want to save money, don't buy Mac-10, it's a bad gun.
    Dragunov is a very good sniper to use at a low level!
    Don't forget to use your secondary!
    Don't sneak&shoot in the middle of the battlefield, you will die!
    You can reload your guns by pressing Q!
    The tips annoy you? Type /tips off!
    On FFA gamemode, an automatic weapon is the best to use!
    On infect, try to find a good high spot to protect you from zombies!

    The followings tips ideas can only be displayed if the map is the next to be played:

    Arkaden is a good map for an automatic weapon!
    HaloOutpost is a big map, use a sniper!
    Launch is a big map, use a sniper!
    [insert small map] is a small map, use a shotgun or an auto!
    Amrak is a good map for shotguns!
    It's preferable to stay at your spawn on Erosion, it's a bloodbath!
    Don't go to the wooden tower on Killhouse, you will die!


    If you have other tips ideas, share please!

    Well we should not tell anyone how to play the game, but overall tips are fine.

    War 2.0 will probably be different to the current War, so some of the examples you've listed may be inaccurate when the gamemode's finally released. However, tips like this would be nice for new players. You should be able to toggle them if you're a certain level so it doesn't annoy regulars. It could even be a donation perk to add more value to some of the ranks.

    Hmm you mean on the tips like " don't go to the wooden tower on kh, you will die", we simply replace it by something like "On killhouse infect, the wooden tower isn't a good spot!" We didn't say directly to players what to do ^^

    A donation perk? Hmm these tips are addressed to level 1 to 20 players, I don't think they are going to buy it, but maybe we can get extra tips with war statistics by bying a rank, like "there are above 7000 players level 30 or higher in War!" Thx roke

    Hooo xD no, or Mojang will blacklist brawl again because they direspect the PDHMT (players don't have money trees) rule

    everyone don't have Elite Lifetime xD

    The basic idea of providing more information for new players is good, but I'm not sure if small tips in chat are the correct way. They are very limited and after a while you just ignore them like the announcements. Instead we can provide indepth tutorials in the lobby, books with details and links to forums guides and the wiki.

    Tips do not effect gameplay, this would be allowed.

    Also, a small 30 second tutorial that new players get using titles instead of words in chat would work well. Would be much harder to ignore.

    There's always little tutorials in games like Call of duty (fine, war is CoD) Halo, Titanfall, Destiny, etc... So can we re-create like a hologram style corridor with training rooms, with a custom voice who speak to you, and teach you how to play (messages in chat too if you don't have the texture pack) ?

    Exemple: The "voice" (Halo's Cortana style) taught you how to scope and shoot, and two zombies are summoned in front of you, the voice say you to kill them, and after you go to the next room which maybe teach you how to dodge bullets, the next how to use nades... Etc

    If you understand what I mean

    Interactive tutorial/ REALLY in-depth tutorial would be better for a server like WarZ or WildWest

    True, I never played WildWest only because I don't understand what we need to do x) but the gameplay seems fun, and the map is well-builded

    At the moment i have the feeling that less than 10% of the new players joining reads(or even brother to open) the current book. I know it sucks but my point is that only a few will read the book if its just lying down there in your inventory.

    So first time (or every time) you join the server you should atleast get a notice in the chat about Reading it for information or get this big letters in the middle of the screen that sades away after some time.

    There is so much info on the forums new players would benefit from. But as always... They go to the sever first and 10% of them don't even find out about the forums..

    Looking at the statistics of june about 1% of everyone that joined the server got a forums account.
    So i guess almost noone finds out about the forums and that even less people care about trying to find something helpfull. :/

    What about /title (But use the subtitle and have a command to turn it off, this could also work for kills)

    True, I saw a lot of new players who didn't know how to use the l118a well, they are always saying "wait, this isn't OSK, what a ****ty sniper..." (sorry if I replied late).
