    He's talking about Wild West diseases.
    No, I don't think they can kill you, but they can make gameplay miserable.

    Yellow fever grants nausea and hunger, and the plague poisons you. So I would say sicknesses cannot kill you. I may be wrong though.

    It's pretty hard to get diseases anyway. And when you get them, it's by no fault of your own.

    I caught yellow fever right in the middle of a gun fight. Nausea screwed my aim, and I lost to guy with a leather chest plate and a blunderbuss. I don't keep antiseptic in my hot bar :v
