    Hello Brawlers,

    As many of you may have noticed, the Brawl/MCPVP Youtube channel was not used much recently. This mainly happened because we did not have any staff members producing videos for it.
    In order to revive the channel we are creating a new team: the Media Team. We aim to establish a group of skilled editors and commentators and thus produce quality content for the channel.

    The members of the Media Team will have the opportunity of some of their videos being published and their channels promoted on the Brawl YouTube channel.
    In return we will ask the Media Team to produce trailers or announcement videos for new servers, events and other projects.

    Some skills we are looking for are experience with recording, commentating, editing and animating videos. If you meet some of these requirements and would like to help us out, you can apply here.
    Applications will be regularly reviewed and you will be notified if your application is accepted. We will not be notifying you if you are denied, it may take us up to two weeks to review your application so don’t rush us and don’t expect an instant response.
    Any information given in your application will not be released publicly.

    Media Team members will be required to join the Brawl Community Slack for communication and will be given a forum rank titled “Media Team” with a badge under their username as well as the “YT” rank in-game.

    Hopefully many of you apply so we can publish some videos soon!

    1st! @way2 you should apply.

    I just wanted to ask, if we didn't record but helped to commentate on videos, would we have a shot at the rank? I can't record/upload but I can do some commendation pretty well.

    EDIT: Found the answer, no response needed.

    The main reason that the McPvP channel didn't get views is because 80% of the people from McPvP didn't want the servers to merge, didn't want to play the server, let alone support the YouTube channel. Yes, having more videos and more people to post videos will obviously help, but it wont help the fact that you have 30,000-40,000 subscribers who are inactive or wont even think about watching the video because it has 'Brawl' in the title.

    On a more serious note, this possibly could work to revive the channel however I think it should be extremely hard to get into, I think @November should apply.

    Another idea is every week or month, a really good media community clip from the media section on the forums gets chosen and is uploaded to the channel, the person gets 1 week of Elite as a prize.

    That still means there are 7.000 to 17.000 people who would watch it :wink:
    But seriously, we had some really popular videos back on the old Brawl channel and we will try to revive that. We also made a mistake by not uploading videos about CTF, HG and Build on the channel which will not happen again.

    That's what I mean, if you want to target the majority of your audience you need to upload McPvP videos and Brawl videos.

    You had popular videos on the Brawl channel because of the creativity and uniqueness that they had. But again, that was on the Brawl channel. I'm sure you'll do fine though.

    How would the media time collaborate? Just wondering, because 5 people from different places around the world collaborating on one video. That would be hard as you would have timezones, you gotta share it, have the same software, and a ton of other stuff.

    Also is this a collaboration? Where we send videos off to one another, improving it? Or is it create your own video and post it. If it's the second door than I don't think it will positively contribute to the youtube channel positively. If it's the first option then I think that it's very exicting as we're learning how to teamwork.

    Can I also mention that it would be probably a good idea to add an additional details section.

    How dare you encourage discriminatory class hierarchies like this @Lord_Roke. Not that I would expect anything different from someone who put the feudalistic word 'Lord' in their username to exaggerate their importance. Typical greedy, 'survival of the fittest', capitalistic behavior. No wonder this server's YouTube channel has less subscribers than Keemstar.

    And yes, I have been talking to @Iosif_Stalin lately.
