Forum Moderators

    This has been suggested in many forums, but no threads have been posted. These posts have been not very descriptive and don't really expand on the idea. Let's get started.

    Forum Moderators:
    1. What they can do
    • Can lock posts
    • Can remove spam posts
    • Can mute players from forums
    • Can enforce any forum rule
    • Can access report section
    2. What they cannot do
    • Cannot ban players
    • Cannot enforce on any server
    • Cannot enforce on TS
    Now, the difference between these and global moderators is that global mods can enforce anywhere and everywhere. Forum mods can only enforce the forums.

    Requirements:
    1. 1200 helpful posts (maybe 1500 posts [can be changed])
    2. A good app
    3. Helpful generally around the forums
    4. Age requirement can be fluxed

    I fully understand that each moderator enforces their own forum section and their server. Forum mods enforce all forums but cannot enforce server rules.

    Thus, forums moderator. As active as you need to be on the server for a MC-WAR moderator.

    Agreed. It takes as much work to prestige on Mc-War as it is to make 1200+ helpful posts.

    As for my opinion: No. We have tons of staff constantly moderating the forums and don't need any more.

    Nah, with these requirements, people will spam the forums to get 1200 posts. I think the user can only be a forums mod if the admins or owners pick that user.

    I'm confused on what you disagree about. This seems like the perfect amount of posts needed if we ever had a 'Forum Moderator.' I'm not sure how I feel about the idea of one, but any lower than 1000 or so I feel would not be considered active enough.

    Just seems unnecessary if you ask me, All moderators also act as forum moderators in their specific forums for example, I am a forum moderator in the WarZ and MinecraftParty forum, but do not have permissions in the War/Brawl/Community forums. I think that the current moderators do a fine job of moderating the forums, and this is just not necessary.

    But there are also people like me that are on the forums 24/7 and sometimes go on the servers. It would be a lot easier to get this than the global moderator position. I would definitely apply for the position.

    Correct also. Personally, I believe I manage my time well and am active both on the Forums and the servers. However, I am aware of members of staff who cannot get on both the Forums and the servers that often, so a forum moderator rank would be useful in some cases, but in others, it may not be.

    I don't see a point in this. Normal mods already moderate the forums, and we do a pretty good work if I can say so myself.

    I am neutral here, I really do not care if there will be or will not be forum moderators. The normal moderators already to a fantastic job on the forums, so I see really no use in this. I will pass on the idea.
