Idea Reliable Auto-Save System

    There have been times where I will be making something and the server will randomly shut down or crash due to lag, making me lose hours of work. This doesn't happen all the time but it's very frustrating when a random server crash ruins all your hard work. The only way to save your map from what I have discovered is leaving the map, waiting a few seconds, and re-joining. This is very inefficient and annoying. Here's my proposal to fix this.

    #1: Command to save your map.
    Back on McPvP, there was /upload to save your map's progress. This command does not work on brawl and hasn't since the transfer. This command should either be fixed or add a /save or /savemap command. This command would save your map's progress, obviously. A message would appear to the player saying: "Map progress saved!"

    #2: Add an auto-save system.
    There's no indication of when your map is being saved other than leaving the world and trying to re-join immediately after with the map description saying "Saving". Sometimes, your map won't even be saved period, losing hours of work due to a random shutdown.

    This system can be added with a timer that auto-saves the map for you about every 10 minutes or so (This could be increased to 20-30 minutes if necessary). This timer could be enabled/disabled using the command /autosave on/enable | /autosave off/disable. If a player manually saves their map by using /savemap | /upload the timer would reset. During the autosave, a message would appear in chat saying: "Saving (Map name)..."
    Only owners can manually save maps and configure the autosave timer.

    #3: Add a backup system.
    If you say, let @TheMaelstromsEye have permissions on your map and he griefs it, you could revert the map back to the previous save. This would only work if the player had a save before the grief occurred. Players could revert back to their previous save by using /revertmap. During the revert the player would then be kicked from the map, similar to how they're kicked from a map that is being copied, with a message saying: "Reverting map to previous save..." This could potentially fix many maps from griefs and corruptions.

    Feedback and ideas on this subject is very much appreciated.

    Why the f*ck am i the example of the griefer when im one of the most respectable people when it comes to maps? -1 to this idea just for that

    I like this idea. However, not sure how autosaves and saves would effect the memory.

    Bit unfair to use @TheMaelstromsEye as a griefer example. But yes, really good idea.

    /commit and /revert exists for mod+ to update gamemode maps and also kind of save/go back, but I definitely agree with some autosave system for everyone on build. We could have a period every 24 hours where all maps accessed get saved instead of this, if lag becomes an issue due to autosaves.

    If it's possible to add manual saves along with reverting to previous saves along side this, I'd like to see that.
