Stricter Chat?

There is a new command. Do /censor in game and you can edit the settings of chat yourself.

 

Or more moderators.

 

There was a new command added for jmod+ that allows us to see the last 30 lines of what a player saw. Just report and a jmod+ will join (if one is available) and they can use the command if the players try to stop and hide.

 

Do /chatreport (player) (reason)

 

stop getting offended and just deal with it it's a block game

 

That kind of helps out his point though...
A lot of younger kids play this game and they or their parents may not like them seeing sexual comments. It might not mean anything to you but it may to some

 

it's the parents choice if they want to get offended by mere words over a block game

 

And if they don't want the kids to see it then something should be done about the chat.

 

make it like hypickle where you cant say curse words in chat at all and it gives you that fat message saying "swearing or attempting to evade the filter isnt allowed"

 

Hypixels chat filter is complete trash imo

And when you take a look at mineplex's... oh boy it censors a lot more than just swears

Have you seen it's report system. It doesn't even have half of the hack names even in it so you have to sometimes lie about the hack they are using to get a staff on

 

Personally, I find that a stricter chat is unnecessary. Our selective censor is usually more than enough to prevent anyone from swearing or stating obscenities. All that is necessary would be having more staff to respond to a situation in which the filter can not block obscene chat. The issue is that when there are sentences that are sexual, riddled with profanities, etc. will often result in more things being blocked then you originally intended.

 

That's right. It's a block game, not a strip club.

 

I think that the current filter options are strict enough. If there's a problem where a flame war or a blatantly inappropriate topic is being discussed, PM a mod or do /report. You also can toggle /censor on (should be on by default, but maybe you changed it).

2 new moderators for build were promoted fairly recently, and applicants don't just fall out of the sky. To anyone reading: stop suggesting "more staff" on ideas, it's completely pointless and not going to happen unless there are qualified applicants.

 

If you don't want to see the messages do /toggleglobal. It means you don't see anything from the global chat

 

By mineplex's censor I mean it censors normal words such as sheet and it also proves they're player-desperate since it censors hypixel
But good point, it's such a hacker infestation, their anticheat is faulty af and couldn't kick a hacker for ****, and their forum software sucks
