    Howdy, Brawl Community!

    For WarZ, I feel it has been falling in the drain, and I believe that EVERYONE acknowledges that. But putting that to aside, I'd like to put in a few suggestions...

    1.) Old Era Map

    Ah, the fresh breeze, holding my Barret 50 Cal, Spas 12, and AK-47... If only we could go in the past...

    Ok, here's where I'm going with this...

    What if we had another WarZ server, with the SAME principles and functions, but a new map that gives you a feel of the old years (1900's), and old weapons. I got this idea from the new upcoming game, Battlefield 1. They're one of the first games to be a FPS of the World War I era. A WarZ with such would be awesome. Possible builds that are structures from the history of that time would be epic. Old guns of that era would be cool as well. I know this is WILL be thrown under the bus, but I just thought about it.

    2.) Anti-Gun Comboing

    I know that a lot of veterans, or just players of WarZ will get triggerred by my next statement. I too, enjoy comboing with my guns, but to me, I like to play WarZ like I'm actually in a battle with bandits. I wouldn't like to image myself rushing up ladders shooting a sniper, then instantly a spas and AK. I would LOVE if gun comboing can be removed. This would simulate the feel for the official WarZ/DayZ game. Maybe when you switch to another weapon there is a 1-3 second cooldown of you swapping weapons and in that time, you can't:

    1) Reload
    2) Shoot
    3) Hit other players.

    This would also apply to grenades, projectiles, etc.

    3) Weight

    Ahhh, the fresh diamond armor you're wearing makes you seem weightless! It's a miracle I run so fast!

    Ok, this would TOTALLY amp up gameplay and style in my opinion. Selected items can have a "weight" value. The weight can render two possible effects to the player:

    1) Slowness
    2) Hunger

    The lighter you are, the quicker and less hungry you will get.

    The more heavier you are, the slower and more often you will need to eat.

    Example: x=weight

    X<50 weight= Fastest, less often hunger, no effects.

    50<x<100 weight = Average, slightly more use of food, Hunger I effect

    100<x>200 weight= Slow, much more use of food, Slowness I and Hunger II.

    Then if you get infected, you're in a LOT of trouble.

    That is all my ideas, I hope we can discuss them!

    First off, since I know I'll seem harsh in this reply (reading through it again), I like the ideas. Especially the new map. However, I don't think all of them serve a place in WarZ.

    I think that the weight idea is pretty good, but it really shouldn't be so massively detrimental to your hunger. Why are you made more hungry than you are slowed down? In addition to this, It'd be hard to balance such an effect, because people with armor would just take it off until they ran into an enemy. Then, hunger wouldn't be an issue since you'd be healing constantly anyway, and slowness would act as a scope for all your guns, since I believe that's how the server detects if you're scoped in or not (correct me if I'm wrong on this if you know). It's also worth mentioning that slowness 1 is a LOT slower than you are without any potion effects. It'd have to be more like slowness 0.5 or something to make it not extremely punishing to people skilled enough to get diamond armor. Especially since the people ingame can apparently carry up to 36 sniper rifles on them at a time. Finally, weights would presumably be based on realistic measurements rather than power of the armor in-game, in which case iron would probably be heavier than diamond, given that it as an element is almost 5 times heaver per atom than carbon (which is the only component of diamond). On top of that, iron is over twice as dense as diamond, which means wearing iron armor would have twice the negative effects of wearing diamond armor, which defeats the purpose of this function.

    As a side note, I feel like the second two of these three ideas are based in realism. They're suggestions to make the game more realistic than it already is. What they seem to ignore, however, is that it's a game about people in a zombie apocalypse who shoot each other and zombies. There's really not a lot of realism in that plot, and it can go even further to say that if they're on an island, the zombie infection could never have spread to them. If it started there, everyone would just take a boat off the island and make sure no zombies came with them. They'd be safe. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for realism, but when it interferes with current gameplay elements such as comboing and armor, I do think that it's going a bit far.

    (I rated your post optimistic for believing the devs will actually do anything to warz before they've messed up 3 other servers)

    @ObamaTheReptile I appreciate your input on these ideas, but I'd like to ask that in the real world, if there were to be a zombie apocalypse, or, generally speaking, if you're in a gun battle in real life, you can't just shoot a sniper, then insta-shoot a spas then spam AK. I would want that feature removed. I know that it's natural to combo in WarZ, but it is relatively easy to add coding where switching from a select amount of items has a brief cooldown. It can ONLY apply to weapons.

    For example...

    Switching from...

    Food>Sniper= Cooldown
    Sniper>Food= No cooldown
    Sniper>Shotgun or Semi Automatic or Pistol= Cooldown

    I agree with what you're saying, but you still can't pick and choose what realism elements you want added. In my eyes, comboing is just as okay as the zombies, since it's a gameplay feature that's been around for a long time. If you disagree with me I understand, but my points are still valid.
